Student exchange

I am going on a one year exchange to Japan this January after studying Japanese for about five years.

I'm gaijin and yeah.

Do the JLPT test if you can, grab the practice exam (its the actual exam from last year or a few years ago) and see how you do, and set a goal for December and work hard to reach it. I would have struggled to do the JLPT level 3 when I arrived, and passed JLPT 2 after 10 months studying.
