Alrighty. As we all know, it's the month of May. Right now, in Canada...(Manitoba)
There is snow. And still snowing since 7 am. 😲
Tons of it.
I live here.
single tear.
Just this sunday, my family had a BBQ with 23 degree weather. Beautiful for Manitoba standards. I wake up this morning (6:30 am) and see that it's raining. No biggie, but as soon as I get out of the shower, I see snow.
I was in utter shock. ☔ So, as I turn on the radio, I see a tree branch break off in my back lane and fall on where my Dad always parks the car. Just too much drama for me. So I head to school. Mind you, I have to take 2 buses, one being downtown with insane drivers that don't acknowledge people walking across the streets.
The radio says that it won't stop snowing until tomorrow evening. But us Manitoba people will plug away to work and school. I pity the geese that just came back. And the exchange students I met at my stop today. I pity the fools who wanted to come to this city in ManiSNOWba. Two guys were from Japan (Osaka). For -10 degree weather, I sure did blush when they talked to me.
Anyways. It's May. It's snowing.
I injured my back shovelling snow. (The heavy kind, good for snowballs)
My birthday is next month....first....day....of.....summer........
single tear.
Someone take me to Vancover. Or anywhere warm.
Por favor!!!!
I need a hug man.... :smoke:

Wow, And I Thought Maine Was Cold !!

We've been in the 40's & 50's with a day or two of 70's
to tease us. Lot's of rain , but thank God no snow! I hate

Okay, I should never complain about the snow here ever again. We got more snow than usual this year, but I can say that I've never seen snow in May! I've never seen snow in April. I think I've seen snow in March, though, but it didn't stay around long.

It's been in the upper 80's-90 here for a few weeks now. You can come visit if you want... :p

Well, I'm glad that I'm not there, 'cause I just don't like the cold. I'd rather be hot, which is one nice thing about Louisiana. At night now it only gets down to the mid 60's. Of course, we'll have to be dealing with those ridiculous temperatures and humidity for the next, oh, five months or so. The sad thing is that it's only getting up to 85 or so during the day now, and it's still too hot. I can't wait until it really warms up.

So, silver angel, if you want to warm up, just imagine that it's 95 degrees and the humidity is 100 percent -- I'm talking air so thick that you can chew it! Blah!

By the way, down here it's a cause for celebration if we actually do get snow. I don't think most people here have seen it for 4 or 5 years, and it was 9 or 10 before that. Of course, it does shut everything down, because nothing here is made for that kind of weather.

That's Why They Make That Hot Gumbo ...

so after you eat it the air around you feels KOOOL !!

:D my dad has not changed in appearance though, which is weird. He looks like he could be 40-45 years old, with no white hairs, just pitch black hair. Which is what I have. =D
But Uncle Frank!!!! You always seemed young to me, always with the in crowd!!!! How old are you anyways?
(BTW if you are old, it's just a number! The spirit within is always YOUNG!!!)
I need more tylenol for my back...

Only 54, but the body of a 90 year old! Your dad's lucky, my hair turned gray at 25, but at least I still have it. It's
all the wonderful young people on this Forum that keep Uncle Frank young!! Rest that back & pray for warm weather !!

We had it, alright. I can remember two occasions on which it happened. The first was around 1988, and the second was on New Year's Eve into New Year's Day of 2001, I believe. Of course, it is a very rare occasion, and it is usually a lead story on the news when it happens.

And I like Louisiana just fine, by the way. Especially the food, and some of the interesting uses of language that we employ down here, including the many accents (dialects?).

A place I'd love to go, Louisiana. I've always wanted to go but have never been... :(

Still snowing in Manitoba? Here in Ontario around the end of April the snow was gone.

Now its 25ツーc and I can't sleep its too hot, I try to sleep with a summer blanket but its to light I need my 10 pound winter blanket, I can't sleep without it!! So this is a real problem its hot and I need my winter blanket.
