I say we find the addresses of these scum that does this, and give them to SVF, no doubt he will know what to do with such infomation. >:]

I have not been able to follow the links on this thread that takes us to the original news stories. However, I am pretty sure this case is referring to Cogenta, the name that was given to this cat. I followed it quite closely when the info on this case started flowing through e-mail around the world to other activists.

The man picked up Cogenta near his home by feeding it some food (it was a stray), and then took it home. He logged on to Channel 2, a forum site in Japan that is quite bizarre (suicide, threats, other crime and sick deviant behavior). On the forum he announced that he had a cat for torture and took requests of what to do with it.

One of the first things he did was squirt tobasco sauce up its rectum and watched it run around his apartment. Then after that the requests to mutilate different parts of the body came in. He moved the cat into the bathroom and did all the mutilation piece by piece over about an 8 to 12 hour period, taking pics the whole time and posting them.

Finally someone alerted the authorities and he was tracked. Like mentioned elsewhere in this thread, the second court trial`s punishment was a let down. However, activists found his address and posted it and he lived with his mother (after the arrest). Then activists started harrassing his residence and his mother pleaded with the activists that her son was not bad and that they should not be victimized because of what he did.

I think he got off easy. But, it is over now. Cogenta`s story however, has been published and it is quite moving. I actually have her pics of her mutilation stored in my archives of e-mail. Looking at her you see her utter terror and misery. Blood profusely coming out of all orifices as she is looking up from the tub to the one who is taking her picture. She appears to be mewing as to, "why?" and "what next?" and "Is it about to continue some more?"

All I can say is that this person in Japan is lucky he wasn`t in the vicinity of American like activists. Things would have gotten worse for his residence.

Sick.

I'm in Japan, if i saw him, i would f****** give him a nice hard gaijin-punch, to teach the b****** that if you are creul like that to an animal, it pisses off big foreigners who have no concerns breaking a nose as some form of vengence for a cat.

I'm not an animal activist but this stuff just makes me angry, infact, i dare say im going to have to go for a long hard walk just to burn off this restlessness to hit the bugger.

Was he arrested?, i've heard the Japanese police arent so forward thinking as their western counterparts, so if he was nicked, i hope he got to enjoy some police brutality ontop of their usual no mercy treatment.

Here is a pic of Kogenta in the killer`s bath tub. This pic is taken from an activist`s site so they had purposely brushed it in a way to make it faded to cut down on the gore. But, if you look closely at her nose and under it, you will see it is a light pink. In the pics I had gotten directly in my mail it was bright red and bubbling. You can see the drain in the bathtub. In later pics this tub is all splattered in blood. It looks like the drain was purposely faded here, too, and I recall it, too, had some small patches of blood right around it. I think this pic was taken shortly after he began torturing her, first with the tobasco sauce in her rectom and then forcing her to drink something that caused her to vomit and defecate all over his room -- hence he moved her to the bathroom to continue.

Kogenta appears to be under one year of age. Still a kitten.

I had a black cat, her name was blacky and she was an adult by the time i got her, we didnt get on well at all, i was 8, and most of the time i knew her she and me were hands off from each other.

My mum got a dog, and by that time she was getting old, somehow she started comming to me, and we became closest friends, as a pet and human can be, she came to me, and i looked after her, i guess she appriciated having a nice big human to pick her up and chase the dog away when he decided he wanted to play.

Oneday she never came home, she was old so i guess she died but...she never wore a collar, i always wondered what happened to her, did she just die in the cold?, did someone take her in?, did she get a year or more from life?, was her new owners kind to her?.

This cat might have been a stray...but who is to say if it wasnt simply someone pet?....how did the owner of Kogenta feel?, msot likely they worried themselves sick, after all it was a kitten.

If my blacky had been taken in by such a malicious bastard, and i had found out, i would probably be serving time in jail now for a good hard assult on his compassionless ugly face.

You just dont act like that with an animal, just for your own self amusement, its totaly and utterly intolerable, and as a cat-lover, that really grates my cheese...

That's so sad... :(
That man was undoubtedly sick in the head. :angryfire:

None of the links in this thread point to the articles the posters claim they do...

...did any of this really happen or just more animal rights BS?

Just mildly curious...

I believe certain news sites delete their articles when they get to a certain age, chances are this article did exist but has been deleted- 'tis why its so important to copy the news article onto the thread if you are unsure of wether the site you got the article from deletes its old articles or not.
Im not sure about that particular news site, never heard of it before, but if anyone wants to know a sites that doesn't delete old articles, i know the BBC news website does not- i cannot find the article on the BBC website though, which does practically everything that exists and is remotely news related, so i an unsure wether this how cat slaughter online thing was true/existed or not :? ...

Here is the first article on the case of Kogenta that appeared in the Mainichi Shimbun:

FUKUOKA -- Photos of mutilated, abused and slaughtered cats were posted for hours on Ni Channel, one of Japan's largest Internet chat sites, police said Thursday.

With the reach of animal abuse laws not extending to photos of persecuted creatures, police are powerless to do anything about the posted photos unless the person who put them on the site was responsible for the attacks on the cats.

Lawyer Masaki Kido said that while unfortunate, the photos were part and parcel of the Internet.

...

Police said the photos were posted on the "I hate Pets" section of Ni Channel from 11 p.m. on May 6 to 3 a.m. on May 7.

The photos were horribly graphic. One had a cat strung up by a nail driven through its neck. Another showed the equipment used to sever a cat's tail. Yet another picture featured a cat that had been drowned in a home bath. Police believe the photos were sent from somewhere in Fukuoka. (Mainichi Shimbun, May 9, 2002)

I am sure if you want to e-mail the Mainichi Shimbun they can confirm it as their story or perhaps they have it archived on their site.

I also have a picture of the guy who was found guilty of doing it.

Hai, I know news sites often delete or move old news pages--I wanted to know if anyone other than the posters had actually seen the articles or if it was a case of "They were there a minute ago, I swear!"

I suppose I've gotten a bit more skeptical than usual regarding this sort of thing after all the sensational but unconfirmed stories in posts around here.

Funny coming from me, seeing as I haven't yet provided proof on the subconscious instinct matter--but I never expected to have to prove the existance of human instincts or the subconscious, otherwise I would have been more prepared to back it up.

Ah well...

...I really should be staying out of these serious discussion threads anyway--seems all it ever does is make me mad.

A place where more and more people are concerned for animals and actually prosecuters prosecute for cruelty to animals. A place where more and more people will speak up for them. That is what the world is coming to.

What the guy did was out of question. I know that over 1000 posts were put on a thread related to the case at that time. Most of them promoted prosecuters to do.

Photos on PETA (People of the ethical treatment & animals ) website are also shocking.

i would get baned if i was to say what i would do to that guy

Ow so many roman emperers torture methods are fluttering through my mind
right now :angryfire :auch:

I'd make a roman candle out of him 🔫 :danger: :kaioken: 🔥

someone give him to me i'll show em justice

I need to go calm down

I apologize to all the nice people here for my angry post 🙂

I actually saw a really sick video that had me crying. It showed a puppy (or a kitten, I can't be sure and I refuse to watch it again) being walked on my a woman in stiletto's. It's clearly meant to be some sort of sick turn on. It's just horrible. The things that people can do to animals... and indeed, to humans... it just horrific. People have the sickest minds.

I know that this is the tabloid section of this forum but is it really necessary for members here to promote this? In the long run it only ends up dragging this site down to the level of these video's is that what members here want?

I would have hoped that members here would show a bit more class.

There is enough garbage in the world as it is, why take out the trash here?

Obeika: I don't understand what you mean. Is this thread not designed so that members can discuss news... therefore we are discussing the horrible events that have occured in relation to this man and giving our opinions, not promoting his behaviour. Sorry if I misunderstood your post in any way. :sorry:

Just because we can doesn't necessarily mean we "should". What limits do you place on "news"?

I was hoping that people here could show more restraint in regards to the material that they post here.

therefore we are discussing the horrible events that have occurred in relation to this man and giving our opinions, not promoting his behaviour.

Like it or not by promulgating information like this, intentionally or otherwise, it drags down the entire board and in the long run pushes people away from participating here.

Hell, I could just as easily post pictures and video of people getting their heads blown off from 50 calibre machine gun rounds, or people getting their heads cut off as well among an almost never-ending list of gore. Believe me, there is some seriously gross and disgusting crap that is "available" to "share" with everyone here. You want an example here it is;

Taliban Destruction, 50 Cal Style

If people want to find that kind of blood and gore is it necessary for this board to provide it?

If you want more PM me and I will "ungodly" send them along. I hope you get my point.

My point is that this board, primarily a message board to exchange information about life and living in Japan, doesn't need to have members post information about every disgusting piece of guano under the sun, even if it falls under the "proper" forum.

Sorry if I misunderstood your post in any way.
I really hope you didn't misunderstand me at all, :-)

I understand what you mean now. I haven't clicked on any of the links but, from what I can gather, the links were to news articles about the punishment the man in question received. I may have missed the link to the video, but I don't think it was on there. This thread, to me, was intentionaly to discuss if the punishment given to the man was fair. I don't think the people here are looking for blood and gore, but simply a debate.

Thank you for understanding, I hope that others here understand the point I am attempting to make as well. I feel pretty crappy and not proud of myself about including a link that shows a rather gruesome disregard for human life.

Please accept my apologizes. I only include it to hopefully make my point.

I do understand the point you were trying to make, and I do agree that a story like this being talked about it pretty sick, but discussing the punishment that the guy was given, surely that's a law debate? I don't know.

Kirie please don't take this wrong, you've got a pretty good head on your shoulders I think. Thank you for your honesty is sharing your opinion.
