Shortening a sentence

I am trying to say in English, I want to be able to read manga and watch movies without subtitles. I have come up with.

漫画が読めるようになりたいし映画字幕なしが見れるよ うになりたい.

Can you shorten that statement? for example in the English statement I didn't repeat "I want to be able" could I just say.

漫画が読んで映画字幕なしが見れるようになりたい. o r similar?

よろしくお願いしま

漫画が読めるように、映画を字幕なしで見れるようになりたい。

The "able to" bit gets built into the verbs, but the "want to become" bit stands alone and need not be repeated.

～ように at the end of a subordinate clause can mean "like~", i.e., "I want to become to be able to watch movies without subtitles, like I can read manga".

漫画を読んだり、映画を字幕なしで見たりできるようになりたい, or more colloquially 漫画を読むとか、映画を字幕なしで見るとかができるようになりたい would be answers you are looking for, but I don't think 漫画が（/ も）読めるようになりたいし、映画を（/ も）字幕なしで見れるようになりたい is repetitive.

Does it always mean that? Or also mean that? In either case, it is something I will have to be careful about.

Confusingly, it's not always so, as I used "can". Probably "volitional / non-volitional" thing would be one of the keys.

Thanks for the clarification. I can live with unwittingly giving the OP ambiguous information, but I would hate to be the source of bogus information.

That is very interesting. Here I was thinking that I was being repetitive when actually I was changing the entire meaning!

You did notice where I changed が to で, didn't you? Just want to make sure.

I guess so. I'm kind of losing the ability to explain the "why" of things.

字幕なしの映画が見れる/わかる is another option.
