I wasn't sure where to post this, but this section is for car enthusiasts so here goes;
Yesterday I had a fantastic day at Santa Pod raceway in the UK.
It was a special day dedicated to modified Japanese cars, like the ones driven by street racers.
There were professional drivers and also amateurs were alllowed to 'run what they brung'. Some of the best drivers made the quarter mile in around 10 seconds, and the 'Funny Car' did it in 6 seconds !

I'm not hugely into cars, but I couldn't help being impressed at the quality of some of them and the raw power on display. The burning tyres, the speed, the noise - I had a great time

I feel like a new man. Grrrrrrrrrrr

Thanks for the pictures! I'm not all that into cars, either, but it does indeed look like there were some nice cars there!

Santa Pod is always great fun, and hugely impressive. I compte in the VWDRC so the pods almost a second home to me (i wont be there much though next season due to a likkle baby chris k is on its way)
Never been to the jap meets but the competition rounds with american muscle and top fuellers never ceases to blow me away. You should really try and make the main event or europian finals.
check out topendtales.com for some great pics from most of the events held there.
Special bonus prize for whoever works out which ones my car and post a pic here. Hint you'll have to go back a couple of years.
