I've just returned from the excellent 'Samurai ' exhibition that's on at the British Museum. Naturally it's aimed at the general public so the information on the labels is aimed at muggles, but they're still very informative. However the artifacts on display are truly beautiful and often unique; there were exhibits the kind of which I'd never seen before. Surprisingly, I was most blown away by the vibrant woodblock prints ; the colours were so attractive, the crisp cut of the prints were flabbergasting! My slot started at 10:30sm and it soon became quite busy, but you could see everything closely if you wete just a little patient.
It's well-worth visiting if you're in London. I stayed in Holborn Premier Inn with an excellent (busy) Japanese restaurant right outside the front door!

I think the rubber duck was an actual historical event in the Genpei War (1180-1185). A daimyo heard of Hannibal's use of elephants but he only had access to rubber ducks so he sent in a light infantry of 12 into a skirmish on said ducks. They were never seen again…
