Hi everyone!
Yes, I'm another new person :jama:

How do the reputations work? There seem to be a lot of different ones in all different colours. Is there some kind of scale? I'm kind of confused, although I have managed to translate a couple of them (e.g. Red - kamisama - god)

... on a completely different topic, does anyone know where I can get any full Japanese fonts - that is, including kanji - apart from MS Gothic and MS Mincho?

Thanks

Hi and welcome! :p

I'm not an expert on it by any means but...
Green = a good reputation point (you have to get a certain number before one appears under your username).
When you have a certain number of dark green points, then you start to get light green points.

That's as far as my knowledge goes, I'm afraid!

If you click on 'user cp' at the top of the page in jref, you can see how many points you have and the little comments people have written. :-)

*Shut up Dutch Baka you silly German boy* Hehe yeah thats right, it doesnt feel nice does it????
Welcome Takakoo! It's nice to have a fellow 'NEW ZEALANDER' on the forum.
Post lots and lots! I think what you meant was the coloured things under the names right? Well thats for how many posts you have posted, when you get past 100 it will turn another colour and so on. The little green boxes are the to do with reputation points, and is as has been said by Kinsao and the others.
Have fun! I dont know any other Japanese fonts sorry.

Thanks for explaining that, and for the link to the FAQ. 😄

Yes, New Zealand is usually confused with Australia. We are separate countries, ^_^;; although very similar to each other (e.g. accent, culture). New Zealand was actually named by Dutch explorer Abel Tasman, due to it's similarities to Zeeland, an area in the Netherlands. The reason that it is now dominantly an English speaking country is because it was later claimed and colonized by the British.

Who knows America's Cup surely know New Zealand! ;-) Welcome amongh us!
I have 教科書 fonts (natural hand writing fonts used in schools) but if I well remember it is some kind of official fonts you need to buy over Internet if you don't want to have any problem using them... :frown:

Do you think our accents are the same? Hmm maybe so. I guess when living in NZ I never really thought so.... now that im away I think differently.
What part of NZ are you from? Im from the BOP.
I worked at the Viaduct at the time of the Americas cup, was soooo much fun! We got to work at the Louis Vuitton christmas party, at the Alinghi base and other cool things. Was the best summer job, I hope that if they need anyone at the next one, they contact me, so that I can work in... (where are they having it again???) spent all our time outside painting faces. The pay was the best ever... maybe $35 an hour? plus tips. We got paid if it rained, and got sent home. No complaints there.

Greetings from the Japan Alps !! It's nice to have you in with us all Takakoo chan !!! hee,hee,hee......for some reason, I feel that you are a chan, and I just don't know why. . . but I hope it's o.k. to add 'chan' to your forum name. If not, a couple of slaps across the face will rearrange that 'for-some-reason feeling'.

I wouldn't worry so much about the rankings and rep points, I don't feel they are as important as good posting and just plain on joining in on the fun, when you can. Have fun on the forum, and I do hope to hear from you later, Takakoo chan.. . .. ....... :-)

Okay, here's an answer to both of your questions:

窶斗窶堙哉棚ツーニ誰ニ停?ーニ停?愴檀窶堙可住窶堙ア窶堙??堋「窶堙ゥツ。

The next America's cup will be in the Mediterranean Sea, having been won off us by the Swiss. :auch:

I think the reason Mars Man got the feeling that I am a "chan" is because a lot of names that end in -ko (-ナスq) are cute, feminine names. My name was taken from a Japanese word that wasn't actually intended for use on a person. N.B. the extended Takakoo.

🙂 No hard feelings.

PLEASE forgive me, i mistook the flag with the ozie.... from now on i will Call you KIWI okay... sorry sorry sorry

.. I AM NOT A GERMAN.. YOU WANNE FIGHT 😊

Don't worry Dutch, we could always mistake your flag for Luxembourg :-)

BTW: Hello and welcome to the forum. Have fun :-) 🙂
