I'm having difficulties with understanding to what exactly その理由 refers to in this sentence - 「その理由も、やはり深く考えずに。」 To the girl's strange behaviour or to the fact that he thinks that not thinking to deeply about everything is for the best?

妙に冷静で、ジュウへの怯えの色もなく、理知的ですらあった、と思う。あんな目をする奴が、バカみたいな妄想を口にする。そのギャップがどうにも納得いかず、心に引っかかっていた。だからといって、彼女の主張を再検討する余地などあり得ない。魔法やら前世やらのファンタジックなことが、ジュウは嫌いだった。理解しようとも、理解したいとも思わなかった。
「ま、どうでもいいことか……」
お湯が沸いたので、それをカップに注いでラーメンを作った。食べ終えた頃には、もうジュウはテレビを観て笑っていた。何事も深く考えない、というのが人生の処世術だとジュウは思う。その理由も、やはり深く考えずに。

I'd say it refers to 人生の処世術.
If I'm reading it correctly it's something like:
Juu thinks not thinking too deeply about things is the secret to life.
As might be expected Ju did not deeply consider the reasoning for such a conclusion.

Both are equally possible. It depends on what is written after that (not only right after that, but in the story after that).

Nothing, it is the last sentence in the chapter.
For now can't say if is it mentioned in the story later, though.
