Often swelling in that area has to do with blood flow problems involving veins & arteries. If you can recline on a bed or chair with the ankle area higher in elevation than the heart as often as possible , it may help the swelling go down. I agree a dermatologist probably is not the type of doctor you need. They tend to take care of the skin surface , not what lies deeper under the skin. In some cases applying a cold pack for 20 minutes at a time helps with swelling , but I would see a doctor before doing that.
