well I was wondering if there is a website that has like audio files in MP3 format (doesnt have to be MP3) but just general audio format files in which you could put on your MP3 player and listen to?
y'know how you listen to those kind of tapes where you got an english speaker (preferabally clear English accent) who says the word in English and then the Japanese person says the word in Japanese? and it kind of gives u an indication/meaning on that word.
Something to reinforce my Japanese while I'm about to sleep or something, will probably also help with pronounciation as well (even though I'm doing fine)
--thanks if anybody knows some good URLs.

Hi Rimmy,
Sorry I don't know any sites like that. I have seen sites around that give you dialogues to go with basic lessons but I have a feeling that that is not what you are looking for.

I bought a set in the format you described Japanese phrase then english translation called Learn in your Car Japanese. To be honest I think that it was a complete waste of my money. In that kind of format it is really hard to learn grammar or vocabulary and I quickly gave up and went back to my other books.

I always (try) and think in Japanese when I'm going to bed. I don't really recommend it since before long you get faced with that terrible question of is it really worth getting up to use the dictionary now? Actually I do recommend it, its a great way to review. 👍

If you want things to listen to apart from textbook dialogues, try some music. Don't worry you won't understand anything, but thats not really the point, it just keeps Japanese going round in your brain. Don't worry about grammar in songs yet (or ever) either. When you hear a word you know you'll be so happy!
