there is no translation in kanji?
my wife would like to crochet the name of the child in all languages and I needed a translation into Japanese katakana also.
thanks...![]()
I would suggest ミコール for the katakana.
As much as that is an accurate katakanization for the way I THINK the name would be pronounced, I am curious how they actually do pronounce it. Would it be like "mih kohl" or more like "mee kohl" or "m'kohl" or even "mee ko leh"? I have no idea.
マコール or マコーレ might be closer to the actual pronunciation?
thanks to all
the most correct pronunciation is "mih kohl" or more like "mee kohl".

ミコール then this is the right translation?, Literally as it would be "meekohl"?
Thanks
Then Mike Cash is correct. As there is no "ih" in Japanese, it becomes "ee". And this is why Japanese, and so many other people in the world too, have trouble pronouncing ship and sheep differently. Or am I just not aware that a sheep can float on the water and carry passengers?![]()
