ok, ok, you are right, sooooooorry^^U, the point is wasn't trying to offend anyone.... because I didn't considered "gayish" as offending like "nigger", but if you say it's the same, then I sorry... hey, I really like pinkkillerkisou, you're cool^^

oh, and Horizon, the only reason I wrote you're name in capitals was for letting mizerable_d clear that it was you the one who has the problem with 'gayish'....

oh, and 'attach'... sorry with my english, again, it's not the best, I know, but I'm taking English lessons again^^, I started last monday

ya fuee... by the way, what's an emo kid?

Ahhhh...I see. I'm sorry as well :sorry: :sorry: I can get a "tad" bit psycho when people offend my few and far between morals.

And I'm sorry about assuming you were perfect at English or that it's not your mother tongue (it isn't, is it? Otherwise, you wouldn't need to take lessons then would you?)

And an emo kid is, well, emo is short for emotional. It's kind of like a genre of music and now some nice, little "label" for people to "pose in".

Someone on this other forum wrote a little poem that basically sums it up here:

I'm sad
I cry
I'm sad
I die

Although if that person had fit in feeling angonizing pain SO, SO badly that said emo kids are FORCED to go down the street to escape their misery and agony it would have been even MORE accurate. And yes, down the street, not across it.

to me, emo kids seem like they WANT to be sad and depressed so they assume that they ARE. but then they complain about it.

Erm....I was being sarcastic about that "FORCED" thing by the way. They're probably not even depressed! They just want attention and give me more problems because people assume even more now that all I want is attention! Argh...Stupid preps...

ya, they want so much attention, i've delt with so many "emo" kids and in hte end i just cant take them anymore and i tell them "get a grip of yourself! do something about your stupid life!" then they think im mean. psst, wat do they know...

At least we don't have any here (I'm pretty sure...) -sigh in relief and wipes brow-

Haha when I wear black and eyeliner people just call me goth. I just look at them and go "me? Goth? Oh no. Im not goth. If you want goth, look at Mana. He's our queen!!" *pulls out picture of Mana* "pretty, nee?" *people back away slowly while giving me accusing glances*

haha but yes Shinya is lovely. I don't think Totchi's outfit would look as good on Shinya though...It would probably be too big for him...^-^

*sigh* people call me goth... *stares in wonder* *laughs* what is goth anyways? it seems that everyone have different standards.

It's ok... you made a mistake *hug* ...I really believe you never meant to offend anyone. Me.... cool??? No I'm not...

I've been called all sorts of things... including emo and goth... ummm I'm just me... I don't really feel like I fit in those stereotypes. I hate stereotypes... and stuff like that. Some guy kept calling me a homosexual... cause of the shoes I brought him to try on at work... what??? They were just shoes... I guess they were not his cup of tea. I mean yea I'm bi but... he was awful. And he was making all sorts of assumptions and asking really vulgar and personal questions. I almost cried. He was very loud and verbally abusive. I've never felt so inferior and embarassed in all my life... I hope no one ever has to hear those sorts of things... I really mean that. No one deserves that. *attempts to find a happy place* So be nice guys... all the time... you never know who you'll hurt. *hugs everyone*

haha well, when i think of goth I think of things like Malice Mizer, Mana, and Gothic Lolita. Most Americans don't know what Gothic Lolita is so...it doesn't really mean anything to them. Most people precieve if you wear black, and are quiet and some what reserved or rather alone...you are goth. I don't see why though. that really doesn't make you Goth it just makes you wearing black and siting quietly in the back of your french class room trying not to fall asleep...

Yup, yup. True, true. And you're only Gothic if you're a building style...

-lower voice into a whisper- And, by the way, Goths invaded Rome (and were the main cause of bringing down the empire!), not Greece.

Mmmm.. wrap that up, I'm taking it home...

...IT'S A WHAT?!

Ha...Ha...Ha...Ha...So...Funny ☝ Please take note of any and all sarcasm that is present in that there statement.

strange day today... i was called a goth by this girl in my english class today for walking in with my long black cardigan on and my hood up (maybe she didn't understand the concept of rain...) and then called an emo for singing franz ferdinand to myself in my german lesson! everybody is so stereotypical these days. i'm neither of the two groups, i'm just myself. one day i'll wear baggy punky fish jeans with a bright blue pucca top and a pink chequered shirt on (not forgetting the multicoloured beanie hat), and then the next i'll be wearing a black shirt with a black corset over the top and black jeans... every area seems to have a certain 'dress code' and if you don't follow it, your shunned. its insane, why can't people just wear what they want...
however, good news! i've got my friends caught onto diru . they'd always ask me what i was listening to on the bus and i'd say "dir en grey". there'd be a casual "who?" then a "oh right, japanese.." and then the conversation would change. after about a month of the same reply to their question, my mate nath decided to try them out and listened to Raison Detre (personal fave at the minute). his words were: "i like the waaaa of the bass" and the compliments got better as the song went on. now they're all listening to it! mission acclomplished hehe
so anyway, found another piccy of shinya to add to the list.

wow history explains a lot of things...

the only things to me that are goth are the gothic buildings. or Mana. haha
so how the hell are poeple goth? *so confused*

apprently goth means:
-peasant; a crude uncouth ill-bred person lacking culture or refinement
-one of the Teutonic people who invaded the Roman Empire in the 3rd to 5th centuries
good ol' dictionary ey? *sighs* the wonders of technology can never meet the reading material....
the first one makes me laugh, its basically saying goths are misfits and look like tramps. such a nice description...

Actually, I think the first one might have to do with the ancient people too. You see, before they took up arms against the Roman empire, they were all promised a good life, a good supply of food, and land for their people by the Romans (after said Romans invaded their homeland I do so believe...But I'm not 100% sure...), but the Romans didn't keep their word and after a few times of being enslaved, and starved, and lied to (things would get better, they'd be given good land like was promised and be accepted into their world) they went psycho (a couple of times actually). The first time they did, Rome promised them better treatment and what they promised before, but they didn't. So this one Goth prince who rose himself in Roman society by becoming an important militia leader eventually saved his people by causing a revolt. Unfortunately, that guy died of a fever before he was finished with everything, but they still destroyed the Roman empire, so mission accomplished I suppose...

But to my intended point here: Goths just took Rome's treachery for quite a long time before they finally snapped and, well, yeah...They were selling thier children into slavery for a piece of meat kind of thing. Plus, they were what Romans labeled as "barbarians" and the people of Rome thought barbarians were kind of like how we now see Neaderthals (which isn't true either! They buried their dead and stuff!). So yeah...

And I'll just go shut up now...But just know I could have gotten into even MORE detail...

Actually, I'll leave you with this: apparently the term "gothic", the original one which was used for a type of building style had nothing to do with the Goth tribe.

And I SWEAR the history lession is over now...

ya but how does this relate to what people consider "goth" now?

hehe, all that explanation for the same question Horizon... maybe it means that Goths think they were promised stuff by society, say, acceptance and maybe even friends, but didnt get that. so they're going all barbaric on us and practising witch craft (is that one word or two?) and listening to painful and suicidal music. if nobody else understands what i've just said its fine, i have a strange imagination.

The problem is, they're not even being barbaric or anything. They're moping around trying to be graceful and elegant. Cut of some heads, please :|

i'd rather them be like that than have a murderous crew of blood sucking suicide fans out to destroy my oh so enjoyable taste in music... i'm beginning to get used to the moping. they're starting to accept defeat and keep in the shadows. and dont get me wrong, i have no problem with the way they dress or what they listen to (i happen to like and own a few of Korn's albums) its just their attitudes towards people. they see us as judging them all the time and assume we hate them. if they smiled once in a while the world would be a better place for them
