Pepto Bismol available in japan?

Hi! This is an embarrassing question, but I thought I'd go ahead and ask before my trip. Do convenience/grocery stores in japan carry things like pepto bismol, midol, and advil? Thanks in advance!:?

They seem to be over-the-counter medication, and most convenience stores and grocery stores are not selling such products. (I believe it is the same in the US?)

Drug stores are easy to find on the street, and maybe not the same brands/products but medication for stomach upset, pain killers, etc. are available at them.

no, undrentide. Those are very commonly sold products in the USA, even in supermarkets.

In Japan I have never seen Pepto Bismol, so pack some tablets if you don't want the weight of a liquid. As for Midol, it's light enough to carry, too. Other painkillers are here in most drugstores (like Bufferin, Tylenol, and an ibuprofen product called Eve, perhaps one or 2 others), all with recognizable English labels. But why can't you pack them yourself?

Be careful not to take more than 3 oz of a liquid, any liquid, through security or they'll take it away from you. You can probably buy it in one of the stores after you pass through security. Have a good trip!

There is an American pharmacy chain and International supermarkets etc...but few and far between if ever in stock. So you're right not to count on it.
