the earthquake and tsunamis have already taken away the lives of 80,000 people, the death poll is still on the rise, and it has left millions of people homeless

please, donate to the Red Cross

This Sunday....

all the money collected at church will go to the relief effort. I think anyone who sees the news will try to do something to help. It's going to be forever for most of those people to get back to a safe life.

It's a very tragic incident for all of asia and the world...we should really do our part...

Just looking at those ppl who lose everything is really a painful sight.

I donated to Red Cross here in Denmark. Already, 7 Danes are reported dead in Thailand, and 387 are still missing.....It is very sad...

Thailand is a very popular destination among Scandinavians...

I donated to the Red Cross the other day, and I might donate again.

I can't get this disaster off my mind. I keep looking at the pictures and reading the stories. I just can't imagine something like that happening. It's devastating.

U know I find that strange actually, why do northern europeans have to go all the way to south east asia, when in their back yards, south eastern europe they have just as beautiful of a setting, and perhaps even more cultural understanding.

@ main topic, yeah it's horrible what happened, unless we have some kind of specialised ngo for releif situations as this, i mean there are many organizations acting now, but they are not united under one structure, so we should organize ourseleves better when something like this comes around again.

Wow, Did Good !!!

The church collection today took in over $2000. It did so well, they are going to do it for the next 3 weeks.

Although the main problems in this case seem to be a lack of any infrastructure (actually getting to the inlying areas without road access) and communication (not being able to quickly relay the needs of those communities back to the outsourcing/partner groups, coordinate supply runs etc) rather than agencies themselves that may have more than one mission.

I donated $500 already, and you know what? I regret it because I don't have enough money to build a computer now.
