Partying in Tokyo?

Im going to Tokyo this saturday and its my first trip. Im staying in Narita whilst there and have JR rail pass to get me about nice and cheap. Now the thing is im 20 whilst im there and im looking to get wrecked in a few nightclubs. Ive heard Rappongi has the clubs and what not but thats not the problem.

Getting back to Narita when im out of it isnt going to be fun, so whats reccommended? Staying out all night and going back in the morning or should I get another room for the night in Rappongi?

Plus if anybody is in the area on the 14th of April feel free to come party with me!

I'm not sure about the drinking age in Japan, but if you are set on getting plastered, the local Tokyo police may solve your problem with free room and board.

Wahaha!! I think the drinking age is 20 though, so that wouldn't a big problem if you don't do anything stupid..

I stayed at capsule hotels when partying in Tokyo, but I'm not sure if they gladly accept foreigners who cannot speak the language..

While I'm no expert in Roppongi night life, I've seen young people partying all night and staying around the subway station entrances in the early morning hours, waiting for the first trains to arrive. I've seen the same in Shibuya and Shinjuku, so you might be able to get back to Narita that way.

Of course, if you plan to stay a couple of days more in central Tokyo, you'll need a place to stay...

Ow, that's a good one!! That reminds me.. You could also make some friends there, go to a karaoke all-nighter and sleep there!!

Haha I did a little research into the Police in Japan and they dont mind drunks as long as your not causing hassle, which I never do when drunk. Us English have a BAD reputation in the world due to a high percentage of us being louts. Which im not going to lie I have US/HK friends who have come here and said some nasty things (all of them are true too).

Also here in the UK legal drinking age is 18 and ive been drinking since before that so a I would like a good party on my 20th. As far as I know 20 is not only the legal smoking and drinking age in Japan it is also the coming of age too.

Thank you all for your input I know it doesnt come across too good when my frist posts basically ask where I can get drunk. I am a Computer Games Programming undergrad so Im not a complete delinquant.

Air hmm sounds fun getting smoked to death well ill give em all a try and probably crash at a capsule hotel... or get some really weird looks and book into a love hotel with my mate haha

I believe love hotels do not let two men check in. Haven't tried it, but that's what I've heard.

Roppongi is fun if you're looking for a long night of dancing, women looking for foreigners and some shady characters. It's certainly very possible to have a great time, and if you have some girls with you, have them try to negotiate the price down on entrance. Worked for us at Lexington Queen a few years back.

I definitely preferred partying in the Shibuya or Shinjuku area, though, because I had friends with apartments within walking distance
