Hi everyone! Fist of all, I'm new here and this is my first thread. hope I'm posting it in the right place... The thing is, my university here in Brazil has agreements with lots of universities everywhere, and three in japan: osaka university, kobe university and waseda university. I'm planning on going to osaka since this city seems to be amazing, full of life and tecnology, and it's also close to other places I want to visit, like Kyoto and Nara. I've been studying japanese for a while and it's a full scolarship, so ...
But then, I met a girl that lived in Japan, but had to move back because she was suffering too much bullying in her school for being a foreigner. I'm worried, I mean, university students are probably more mature than pupils, but still, I'm afraid of being lonely and not making friends. So, am I going to suffer for being a foreigner? Are they going to accept me? How can japanese university students deal with difference? Thank you in advance for the answers.
ps. I'll study law/social studies an live there for a year (if I truly decide to go to japan, instead of choosing somewhere else)
