News Online toy handguns revealed to be potentially lethal

... I shoot two .12 gauge shotguns for my schools clay shooting team …
One in each hand?

These toy guns may not work, but maybe they only need to work once--eg, Abe's assassin likely only had single-use in mind.

And if you're on the receiving end of one of these toys, are you just going to laugh and say, "Ha, that won't work. It'll just blow up in your hand."?

Haha I wish.

No I'm not gonna just laugh it off if I'm on the receiving end. I'm stupid but not that stupid, LOL. I'm not sure what I'd do. Maybe after I start taking Karate (If my mom actually lets me, not just say she's gonna let me), then I'd have an answer.

Here in the US , a lot of people have been shot by police and civilian gun owners when they pointed a look-a-like gun at someone. In Maine , you no longer need a permit to carry a concealed gun and you have to assume any gun pointed at you is probably real. Some handguns are inexpensive enough that almost anyone can afford one.

I believe the North American continent is drifting away from the European plate. Phew!

Society would be perfectly safe if I owned a gun,ann automatic rifle, granades, tasers etc, because I'm a sensible upright person who has reached level 3 of Kohlberg's levels of moral reasoning. I suspect most of the people on this forum are in the same sort of category. But 'Mikey' the steroid user in my gym. No! The people rioting outside hotels that are housing illegal immigrants? No! The people propping up the bar in the Hay Wain pub down the road? Absolutely not! Children under the age of 4 years? No! 😉

I would love to own and shoot a gun at paper targets, but I'm glad nobody else can in the UK.

Often toys or games may seem safe, although in reality they are not. I like to play online games and often it happened that I was not paid out. It is good that I came across https://ausscasinosanalyzer.com/au/casino-bonuses/slotozen.com and now I choose only proven games with a good rating. You can do something similar for regular toys.

Yes that's very plausible. Would a bullet 'go off' if one hit one with a hammer?
A cartridge won't fire from a hammer strike; it needs chambering and firing pin force. Safety laws aim to prevent improvisation!

I used to have an original series, Star Trek type 2 phaser water pistol on the front seat of my car…just because I love the design and liked to handled it in traffic jams. Then it was pointed out that, from a distance, it might be mistaken for something lethal…🤔…like a banned Varon-T Disruptor and result in the police striking on the back of my legs with a truncheon and shouting at me, loudly 😖 😳

I guess you didn't have the mandatory Federation sticker on your windshield!

I thought my pointy ears and stoic demeanor was all that was required. 🖖🏽

On my old car I had a decal on the back…'NCC-1701'. It was subtle and only the few knew what it mean (USS Enterprise's identification number). Once I saw a car ahead of me, plastered in Star Trek decals; Galileo 7, Live long and prosper etc and it had three lovely ladies in it. I managed to get alongside and then directly in front of them. I looked in my rearview mirror and saw no reaction. I pumped my brakes a few times to flash my rear brake lights to attract their attention. Suddenly, I saw them looking at each other talking and suddenly they erupted with joy, punching the air, waving to me and clearly cheering as I waved back at them 🥳 I felt like I belonged for the first time in my life…

Yes, in the original series, you could see nicotine staining on his lower incisors!

I really want to meet William Shatner before it's too late although I've heard he might be ill 😳 However, that's only going to happen if he comes to my house, remove his shoes on entering and puts the kettle on for me. 😑

I met the main cast in 80s to 90s. Doohan was once in my hotel room playing with my daleks and used my room phone as he got locked out of his room. Takei used to take people jogging. Way back in the day shopping malls had meet and greet events for free!

Oh that's amazing!🥰
