Some charitable soul that helps me decipher these characters? Very little knowledge about it only allows me to know that they are Chinese. Thank you in advance.

Looks to me that it says 王日山 . I don't know the significance of that for this particular object, but a quick web search showed that it is full name (family and given) that is sometimes found in Taiwan/China.
