About 5 miles north of my city there has been a wildfire that has been burning for about 2 days. Yesterday we got a very odd haze that covered the entire city, similar to our normal fog, but more sut-like.
Anyway, most of that has apparently settled into the atmosphere, and today is even stranger. The sky has layer upon layer of overcast *evidently, unnatural overcast/white smoke from the fire* and the sun is still shining as if there were no clouds in the sky. Odd thing is, its shining through the smoke as if it were a filter. The sun is a powerfully dullish orange, almost like a thin liquid shine of blood, and its very very very peculiar.
Anyone in the San Francisco bay area experiencing the same effect?
