North Korean attack on Yeonpyeong Island is worst against civilians in 20 years

Let's just say "I can neither confirm nor deny the presence of nuclear weapons being present in any location throughout the world"..... That is my official statement.

You take it from there Noyhauser.

No, I was wondering more whether you were actually wondering why the Japanese would want acquire their own nuclear weapons, rather than whether the US has nuclear weapons. Whether or not the US actually deploys nuclear weapons in Japan is kinda irrelevant... its an stated deterrent relationship.

That is true (about our deterent in Japan). I don't think Japan actually would want anything nuclear in their own arsenal though. I think there would be a HUGE public outcry both asia wide and from inside Japan. Korea still likes to play on WW2 atrocities so politically I think that would be a bad move on Japan's part. Personally I think their fine with us having the responsibility of possible nuclear presence in asia... easier for them to say "WHAT!? We didn't know they had that here!" ☝
