Similarity between the Japanese language and the Fu-jian (southern China) dialect indicates that:

Anthropologically speaking, the Japanese may have originated from the south of China and may have at a time been brought to what's called Japan today by sea winds.

In this sense the Sino-Japanese war is just something like the citystate wars within China.

Can tolerance and forgiveness begin here?

Why not?

It's not a matter at all about the origin of Jpanese nation. I tell you they are from earth. I never think that the problem between the two are generated by people. Don't you know that Chinese governemnt had tolerated and forgave what Japan was done when relations normalized in 1970s? Our Prime minister Zhou Enlai garranteed to Japanese that China would not seek for raparations in the future. That explains why China and Japan were close friends in 1980s. It was Japanese who landed disputed territory Daioyu island in 1994 maybe 1995. They revised textbook in 1998, visited Yasukuni shrine and build close relations with Taiwan. Look, this all happened in 1990s. What did China say of that? Nothing. I remember when Japanese city ツ神户 was devastated in an earthquake,Chinese government reacted quickly to the disaster. This would never happen in the future. Japanese politics turned to right, even far right since the end of Cold War. Oh, I forget mentioning that in 1998, before Taiwan independence movement began, Japan and U.S strengthened their joint defence treaty, refering Taiwan Stairt as their responsibility to protect. Such a series of events really provocked China. What sould China do? Keep quiet? Should this large state accept all these without making voice? Why didn'y Chinese govenment reacted strongly and drastically in the begining? It's because we were weak ten years ago. China lacked capability of counter-acting. Right now, Japanese foreign minister PUBLICLY said China will be a threat to Japan and Asia. Are we? Who spend more on military? Who is the ally of U.S and who invade a number of states in 1990s and iraq? Who supported Taiwan independence while claimed they love peace?
