New Year in Tokyo

I will be in tokyo from 31st dec to 4 dec...will the shops and departmental stores be opened? Planning to do some major shopping in Shibuya and Shinjuku...thanks...

Most of the shops will be closed on 1st Jan.
They start sales on 2nd~.
There will be many many girls,like ants attracted sugar!
You can buy things at reasonable price.
