Dear valued Members,

we are very pleased to announce that @mdchachi has agreed to join the JREF team and to help us out here at the Japan Forum!

Mdchachi joined the forum as early as 2003 and has recently returned to JREF after a long break, sharing not only his hilarious videos but also his vast experience in all Things Japanese.

We are delighted to have him on board, and hope you will all give him a warm welcome!

I will never forget reading a Time magazine article many many years ago saying a popular website could earn the owner between 1 and 4 million US dollars a year and wondering why you still worked Thomas , LOL.

I hope my wife will never find out about that Swiss bank account.

Thank you for moderating.

(That should forestall the usual "moderating is a thankless job" bit)

I cannot recall anyone ever claiming that on JREF. However, that's also due to our generally well-behaved memberbase.

It is widespread on the web in general. Much to JREF's credit, a site specific search yields but a single instance of "moderating" and "thankless" ever appearing in the same post together. That is singularly remarkable for a forum with such a long history.

Thanks because the Super Moderator, Thomas, deleted all those posts. :meh:
