Thanks everyone
Good thing you were away, Glenn.

I wouldn't worry so much about coming back. Things look much better than before and living situation is a lot more comfortable. For a while there were no groceries open so we had to get rations and water from the military which are amazingly delicious and filling by the way... I never would have guessed. A lot more places are opening now and for longer hours. Some places were only open for 4 hours a day and the waiting line just to get in the places were ridiculous... it was so hard to get more than one thing done in a day... time just wouldn't allow it.
There were some funny moments though I can look back and laugh at coming home. I didn't even know I was home... I was so doped up on muscle spasm and pain pills I could barely walk straight.

I kinda walked around the front yard and laughed when I walked on the driveway... the concrete was busted up from the trees falling so you could jump on the huge chunks of concrete and they kind of rocked back an forth like a see-saw... did I mention I was medicated during all this :?
When we finally went inside it smelled horrible cause there was food rotting in the refrigerator so I ducktaped it shut and my sister, my dad, and I push it out the back door... and need I mention how out of it I was and laughing the whole time trying to push a fridge that smelled so terrible... I can't even describe the smell it's so disgusting... what else... :?
ohh... we pulled up the carpet in the living room and my parent's bedroom because those were the only rooms that appeared to have flooded... there was a hole in roof just above the bathroom and water got in there and there were mosquito larvae in the toilet which I found funny but gross... I was gonna try stabbing at them with the toilet brush or plunge them with the plunger... but my mother simply wouldn't have it

....and there were these tiny bugs that were all over the house... I don't know what kind they were but they didn't last long... these are THE stupidest insects ever... they just let you kill them... not once did one ever escape... it took about two days before we got the whole lot of them
I think that was all the humor I wanted to share... oh... that and when I finally got home I was exstatic cause I had my clothes. I figured we'd be gone maybe 3 days so I only brought enough clothes for that legnth of time... I'd get emotional and cry at the prospect of wearing a pair of underwear or socks I hadn't seen in weeks

It was hard coming back and being in such a emotional and psychological state not to mention being so restricted in your activities and be confined to curfews and being searched lots of places you go... but I'd be mentally derranged if I was still in Texas City.
So... umm as far as how bad things were as far as my house... :?
Total damages: front porch buckled, driveway and walkway to the front door smashed, backporch screen was ripped off, hole in the roof about 10-12 inchs big, two trees fell in the front yard and my neighbor's fell in our backyard, water damage to the carpets in my parent's bedroom and the living room, some water damage in the bathroom, the god awful refrigerator, and our cable box was knocked off when one of the trees fell.
Not too bad... not at all... I was lucky... 3 trees fell and not one of them hit the house...
