Hi. My name is Margo. I'm from Ada, OK (USA). I wrote to a Japanese person for a brief time in the late 70s or early 80s. He sent me a tape with Japanese songs on it, and I'd like some info on a couple of songs.

The songs are on a cassette tape and the conversion to digital format wasn't too great. Does anyone know how to translate these songs (translate the words in katakana/kanji, romanji and english?) Thank you.

Hi Margo, a great welcome to the forum, hope you'll post lots and enjoy your time here

As to your songs, I think your best bet may be to post some snippets online and perhaps a few people here will be kind enough to try to identify the name and artist, and give you the song name in kanji. Then you can search online yourself and probably find the entire lyrics in kanji/kana, maybe romaji, or even the English translation!!

Then if you have one or two phrases you're particularly interested in, post them here and maybe more kind folk will be able to help you.
