Thanks a whole lot there Thomas and others of the administration !! I caught the new chat this morning, and went in. I had no problems getting in there, and posting. I'll always make it a point to check it out between posts, to see if anyone is there, so I can keep them company. I have noticed recently, however, that after logging in for the first time, then posting, then going back to the forum page, I don't have the 'so and so is in chat' at the bottom of that page. If I then go to the Jref home page, and back to the forum page, it'll be there again. Does this mean that I'm being logged off during the posting process?
Thanks a whole lot for the new chat thing. It is not used that often, as we have noticed, but those who do use it, have fun there. . . and I'm glad to have one back !!!
I have given it a try a coupla times - it's pretty good .... but like Frank, it's gonna take me a while to get used to 'handling the controls'! (I'm also a sloooow typer - which gives me one or two problems! And on both occasions - I was called away from my PC for other reasons. Blast!)
Interestingly though, and as an aside .... you really do feel that you've "entered a room" don't you! I feel that I ought to be looking around!
The other night we had 8 or 10 people in there at the same time. It is so great to get to really know other members by chatting. Now I know some of you go there to find it empty, but don't give up. The opening page of the Forum tells who is in chat, so keep an eye there to see when it's in use. If you have time, leave your PC on chat with the sound up and you will hear when someone checks in. I've had to give up watching TV re-runs nights to pay full attention to my fellow chatters. CHECK IT OUT, DON'T GIVE UP !
