~Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death and Rebirth Music~

I'm sure most of you heard of the movie, but has anyone listened(deeply) into the classical music in it?
Johann Pachelbel's "Kanon D-dur" is my fav.
It has to be one of the classics that makes me so emotional to the point of drawing for hours and hours.
It helps expose my art talent when I feel lonely and when I feel emontional pain.
Like when my dog passed away due to being hit by a car.
I had her since the 3rd grade(i'm going into college now).
I listened to this song, cried for hours and then poured my soul onto paper with my art tools.
Your thoughts?

Eva Death had eerie music (mostly) and it creeps me out. The End of Eva i found more likable. From the Death album, i liked the beginning of Dies irae [REQUIEM]. I have the Evangelion Symphony album and that's really good.

Some classical music is calming to your heart and soul I think.

and some e.g Neon Genesis makes you want to slit your wrists. actually i think it was more all the screaming from the characters that made it really disturbing shinji ekari 9is that how you spell it) is such a girl

And yes he is as we say "a pussy" heh.

Well, about all the screaming and such: It sets the mood of the whole series.
It's not one of those lovey-dovey animes, and it's not a childrens anime(due to all the biblical background to it) and it's not a comedy at all. Really an high teen/adult-ish Sci-Fi, biblical-ish anime.

The screaming and all fits well really. Alot of people don't really understand the true meaning of the storyline and it's connections to the bible.

When you say got to you in what way(if you don't mind me asking).

The last eps and the two movies are supposed to open your eyes I think.

yeah maybe i couldnt handle the truth lol. definitely the screaming. i dont mind screaming in anime at all but they really pushed it past the limits. i think i need to sit down and watch it again. there was some really good themes behind the story though.

It's the type of series which gets you thinking.

Like Asuka for example.
After she was normal she went crazy.
Why?
Because old memories of her mother committing suicide and her father leaveing them before that etcetc.

And Shinji.
His mother died, his father disowned/never cared for him untill he needed him to do his dirty work. Shinji starts to go crazy.
Oh, and that little part in death and rebirth when he..*cough*"Has some self love" when he stares at a topless/helpless Asuka shows the temptations women put upon man..or however that is "said" in the bible.

And Rei
A lonly soul in a empy shell AKA her body.

Etcetc such like that and how man trys to create and control god.

It's some interesting stuff.

It's THE MOST profound series you'll ever come across. One of my fav parts was in End of Eva where Asuka recites "Koroshiteyaru"
