Also, it'd be more polite if you say you want to stay with someone for 6 months for free, you'd do something to help that person out.

Seriously though... Michael, you really need to have a better "plan" than this if you're looking to go abroad. Hoping to rely on the generosity of strangers and an open invitation won't even get you out of the country. I especially liked the "prefer it be a girl i fell more safe with..." part.

Then again, I suppose there's no end to the # of Japanese females who'll take in and put up a complete stranger of the opposite sex from a foreign country... I assume you'd prefer it if they were cute too?

What sort of work are you planning on doing? And have you looked into visa eligibility? If you plan on teaching English, run your resume through a spell checker before you send it to anybody.

Visa eligibility is going to be your first hurdle. I'm guessing you don't have a college degree. How does your girlfriend feel about marrying you so you can get a spouse visa?

You really need to take a look at: VISA
and see if you are even eligible for anything other than a short-term tourist visa. Somehow, I doubt that you are.

you can always enroll in a japanese language school and get a permit to work part time but you have to have proof of 1,000,000yen or 10,000$ roughly saved for a 12 month visa and for 18month it is 1,500,000.
