Need Honda Insight parts

Does anyone have these parts or a source for parts for a Honda Insight:
Front Left Fender
Bumper, Front
Hood

Catalytic Converter

or just google " honda forum "

but yea your local honda dealer can get u any part u need

I think " J-CAR GARAGE" section was created in hopes it would become an active part of JREF. This section never does get much attention, sadly.
I miss the good ol days when you could go into a giant junk yard and get most any part yourself for next to nothing. Boy are those days gone, parts are big money now.

The local honda dealers would have the parts, on order, from the factory, for a price. $$$$$$$!!!!!!

There aren't any parts on E-Bay or on the Honda Insight forums...

Unfortunately there aren't very many Insights in the US and so finding junk yard parts is next to impossible. I was hoping because there are people from a variety of places around the globe that perhaps there is a junked Insight somewhere or a parts source in somewhere like Australia that I haven't come across.

If the J-Car forum isn't a good place to talk about Japanese Cars, what good is it?

We don't have the Insight in Europe, but it sure looks like an interesting car.

What do you need the parts for Sabro? I hope you didn't have an accident or something.. Good luck on your search!!

ps: I saw on Wikipedia that only 2,000 were sold in the US, so I'm afraid it's gonna be mighty difficult to find the parts..

I smacked into the back of another car on the freeway here. Not hard, but the insight is made od aluminum and plastic, so the nose kinda shattered.

I would help, but I have never even seen an Insight here. Your best bet would be to check the dealer.

Thanks guys, partstrain doesn't carry body parts. The dealer can order parts, but new parts from the dealer are really expensive.

Soooooo...

what we need here is a Honda Insight(what year?) that has been totaled in a rear end collision and the front end is still mint;hopefully here in Maine out behind the guys outhouse and for $25 I can tow it away to strip it. Stranger things have happened?

I found a source for bumpers... but it seems like the hood and fender, I will have to get from the dealer... at a rather high price.

Sabro, why didn't you just use your insurance? That is what it is for. I realize that your rates may go up, but if the car is that important to you, maybe you should just bite the bullet.

I bought a Toyota hybrid van last year, and god help me if I wreck it, it will cost an arm and a leg for repairs!

In California, car insurance has two tiers- liability and comprehensive... and the insurer of the one that would be "at fault" in the accident pays the charges. I have liability insurance- so the car I hit is covered. I don't have the comprehensive coverage that would have paid for my own car.
