おもむくー＞赴く: Head in a direction or toward a destination
まま： As it is
おもむくまま： I think you have removed other important parts of the sentence
こころのおもむくまま： Go or act as your heart/emotion pleases/dictates

2. 王様の耳はオコノミミ
This is a play on words. 王様の耳はロバの耳 is a well-known tale from ancient Greece(?), I think. オコノミ suggests "okonomiyaki," since this appears to be manga about "okonomiyaki" and "monjayaki."

Maybe something like で、意味が分からないのか (de, imi ga wakaranai no ka).

This interpretation is closer to "Is it that you don't know the meaning?"
(どういう意味かわからないわけですか？）．

'So' as intended here is more like "sate" or "jaa" I would say depending on the tone and how confrontational you're trying to be.

さて、意味が分からないの（でしょう）か

And do please stop using Jap.

still would translated as "mada"
for example "i still love you" would be "mada ai shiteiru yo"
or "it seem you still dont understand" would be "anata wa mada wakattenai to omou"

Does anyone know what this phrase means? I was told it meant something along the lines of "like a fin bowed down" but in the context of the rest of the paragraph that just doesn't seem right... and it sound funny too.

You're confusing "hire" here.

ひれふしたままー＞平伏したまま： In prostrate position (bowed down) to show obedience or defeat
ひれー＞ヒレ・鰭: Fin (of fish)

(The names of subjects I used is quite literal in translation, so you can change it if it's not really accurate. "Computer art" may be all right, depending on what you actually learn in the class.)
3. （体の）具合はだいぶ良くなりました。心遣い、ありがとう。
(The part in parentheses can be omitted if the person reading it will understand by context.)
4. XXさんはいそがしいですか？演技の勉強で、それとも学校で？
(I wasn't sure what you meant by "acting." Is the person studying acting or already performing in plays? In the case of the latter, 演技の勉強 can be replaced with 演劇)
5. じゃまたね。 [plain or polite?]
(Considering what you are saying in the 4 earlier sentences, the plain form you wrote is all right.)

What I wrote is not the only way to translate. You can improvise if you think it doesn't exactly fit what you have in mind. Hope it helps, anyway!

Does this question:

あなたの国に何がありますか。

mean:

What do you have in your country? What does your country have?

Then, would

動物園に何がいますか。

mean, What does a zoo have? As in what are some of the animals in the zoo?

I guess it does make some sense. Except the fin reference. Right before this phrase the previous phrase says "I pray to God". So I get the bowing down. Hmm... I guess it's metaphoric (I think that is word I'm looking for)

"suki nano ni" means "suki desu keredomo." It means, "I like it, however...." which can just be the Japanese way of not saying something, and knowing that everyone will understand exactly what you are saying.
