Need a word or phrase translated?

I'm a bit confused with the bolded part in the following passage. Is the whole 「凶暴で手負い」 part goes with でも ? I'm asking this because I've read that an animal could become ferocious when it's wounded 「手負いで凶暴化している」. But in my example it is written in a bit another way...

Some sort of translation: "Though I think I won't have to fight him as long as the bear is not 'considerably ferocious and wounded' or something.".

「・・・・・・まさか、熊は出ないよな」

そう言ってちょっと背筋が寒くなった。もっともよほど凶暴で手負いでもない限り、熊と戦う羽目にならないだろうけど。

hello! i would like a broader understanding of what なのかという means. One example I found with an English translation is 自分の先祖は誰なのかということに興味を持つ be interested in who one's ancestors are
another that I don't have a translation for is 何も約束していないからどんな目的なのかというのが、解らないのかもしれないけど、etc...

なのか is for embedded question (な is the attributive form of copula), and という is used to connect the noun/pronoun and the clause that explains the contents of it. The following post might be somewhat helpful.

こと and の can be considered the pronoun of something like 事実 "fact" and 理由 "reason" in your examples, respectively.

The speaker is angry about those guys' behavior that they are taking advantage of the speaker's debts and do whatever they like.
 
I'm not sure whether うっかり modifies 放置しておく or the whole 入れて放置しておく in the following sentence?

うっかりプリン・ア・ラ・モードなどを入れて放置しておくと、行方不明になってしまうこともしばしばだ。

Oh, I see.
In this sentence speaker is saying that there is a refrigerator in their dorm. And you can freely store food there. However if you put something like プリン・ア・ラ・モード, it's often disappears...
 
I think うっかり only modifies 放置しておく, since to put pudding à la mode in a refrigerator is very common, and is not an action to do うっかり (unless they consider they shouldn't put sweets in it for some reason).

As for 入れて放置しておくと, I can't think of that kind of context. If just "to put an object in it" is the key and "to leave an object in it" has nothing to do with the result, there is no need to mention 放置しておく, I think. (In other words, it's OK just to say うっかり入れてしまうと in that context.)
 
Hi, does anyone know what 処理リスト could mean? I don't really know the context, except that it is mentioned next to other lists 手配リスト and 捕縛者リスト.
 
List of items to process. That word comes up a lot in computing. But if it's a list at a police station or something (as the other lists imply), it could be a list of people that need to be "processed."
 
Or, it might be "already processed" if it's put after 手配リスト "wanted" and 捕縛者リスト "already arrested".
