That can be determined by the presence in the margin of the known date for the original - 1954. For subsequent editions, the publisher Unsodo omitted the date.

The woodblock artist is known in English as Shodo Kawarazaki. The original run, published by Unsodo of Kyoto, for this particular print was 1954, and it should have the year in the left margin. The absence of the year means that it is from a later run, probably using the original wood blocks.

As you can see in "Magnolia" for example.
昭和 means Showa era, 二十三年 means year 23, the last 作 means "made".
Showa 23 = 1948.
Printed in 1954 shall be 昭和二十九年作, which is not found in your picture.

and the beautiful picture is the one on my profile..it's called "Small Horned Owl on Maple Branch under Full Moon"!

I need help with with this part: 生きていけるのならな。
In this situation it seems a man is taking advantage of a kid, making the kid do jobs that the doesn't like, but due to life circumstances he is forced to take these jobs.
Is 生きていけるのなら mean something along the lines of "If you can survive that is"
I'm thinking いける means to be good at here so a direct translation would be "If you can be good at living"?

That's "それ ＋ で". それ refers to 仕事をやめること.
by that/in that situation(= you quit the job)
（それで）お前が生きていけるのなら、いつでもやめていいんだぞ

Of course the speaker knows that the addressee can't live if he quit the job. Thus, he actually says "You can't live if you quit this job. Work without complaining."I'm trying to figure out now why the character is saying this though.
The character who is being told this, doesn't seem to have money, so he needs this job, especially since he doesn't have a permit to do any legal work.
