Yes. More accurately to say, the clause 互いを求める is modifying 気持ち. In this case, 互いを求める explains the content of 気持ち; the feeling/their feelings that they desire for each other.Would that mean that "motomeru" (a verb) is modifying "kimochi"? I am just a little confused. Thanks again for answering.
確かめ合う is a combined verb. "The pre-masu form of the verb + 合う"(e.g. 愛しあう, 助けあう, 話しあう, 戦いあう,,,) means "to do something each other", so it's often used with 互いに/を.Also, "確かめ" (define as confirm, sure?) and "合う" (define as agreeable, match) are both verbs. I see "確かめ" as the verb, but where does "合う" fit in?
Is it saying like "confirm agreeable feelings"?
慣れなければならない/慣れないといけない might sound more natural, or more colloquially, 慣れなきゃいけないと思います/思うんです/思ってるんです.
…はせがみ続ける。「ぼくに教えて。相談に乗ったげるから。ね。ね」 期待と興奮で今や異形化…たぁげようか,
I doubt the て-た (って-たぁ) thing is even covered in a formal lesson. It's not even normally written. Another nuance to Japanese conversation in everyday life that does not appear in 99% of the language-instruction courses and books.

Seriously is "Chikushou" just about the worst word in Japanese ??To Tomii:
There aren't too many curse words that I know of in Japanese. ちくしょう (畜生)is another. It was originally a Buddhist word that means something like "beasts." If you were reincarnated as an animal it was viewed as a demotion. ばか(馬鹿) of course means stupid. I don't know why it is written with the two kanji meaning horse and deer. I have yet to find something written about that. ばかやろう (馬鹿野郎) means a$$hole or other similar things... やろう literally means 'field man.' It's like country bumpkin. You can also just use it on it's own. このやろう. It also means male prostitute. That's really all I know.
恋愛感情: romantic feelingsI have another one. I hope it is not too much trouble.
恋愛感情
For this one, I kind of had trouble with it. But, when I read it, I think it means
"fond feelings" or "loving affections". I get the feeling that I am probably wrong.
Thanks again. Your help is appreciated.
Ah, thank you Toritoribe.Toritoribe
恋愛感情: romantic feelings
e.g.
ティファはクラウドに恋愛感情を抱[いだ]いている。
Tifa has the romantic feelings for Cloud.
Thanks to all who answered my question last time!
I have another one:
此処にいちゃいけないような気がして
Does this mean "I feel like I can't be here"?

寄せる is an instantaneous verb, so 寄せている expresses that an action(寄せる) was completed in the past and the subject is in the completed state now. 寄せていた can be used as the simple past of 寄せている, and also used to suggest that the present state is "not 寄せている" or 寄せていない. The meaning depends on the context. For this word: 寄せていた
I think this is a form of the word "yoseru", but I don't know what it means in this form:
寄せていた.
When it is -ていた, does this mean it is a past progressive?
Would this mean it is an action or condition completed in the past?
The translation might appear strange, but it is basically correct. The text is poetry from one of the most famous Japanese poets alive today.just like to say ill be using this forum often :emoji_fearful:
anyways, I've been looking for translations on:
でも誰だろう 何だろう
(demo dare darou nandarou)
"But, who or what"
私に私をくれたのは?
(watashi ni watashi o kuretano wa)
"gave me to me?"
限りない世界に向って私は呟く
(kagirinai sekainimukatte watashi wa tsubuyaku)
"I whisper to the endless void,"
私 ありがとう
(watashi arigatou)
"thank you self."
I have a translation from a fully immersed Japanese-speaker, but i could use one from someone more well-versed in English. The more translations the better. Also, does anyone have ANY information on the guy who wrote this, Shuntaro Tanikawa? His childhood, his lifestyle, even his favorite color and how he likes his eggs would help.
I know it's a lot, but thanks a bunch in advance.
Based on the context within answers received, "minus" in this case is apparently negative evaluation on a message board. Similar idea to thumbs up/thumbs down arrows feedback if you've ever played "Yahoo Answers."Hi! Thanks to all who answered my question last time!
I have a question about something I read on the internet:
誰かの恨みを買うような質問や回答をした覚えなど無いのですが、今日、マイナス評価を20以上連発されました。
I understand the first part to mean "I don't remember asking or answering any questions to incur anyone's resentment, but today". I'm having trouble understanding what "マイナス評価" means? Is this person being evaluated and 20+ times she had a negative evaluation?
よろしくお願いします!
What you read "into" the poem is probably up to the reader. Tanikawa Shuntaro writes a lot in very simple words and sometimes in hiragana only. A lot of times he observes the small happenstances in everyday living to observe the cosmos reflected in them. Thanks a bunch for the (quietly in monologue) that helps way more than you know. As far as the actual content, is there anything in the translation or perhaps a poet who knows what is referred to by "me"? Is it simply himself or his personality? His existence? His lifestyle? His opportunities or in-opportunities in life? His past or what brought him to the present? and especially, when he says thank you "me", is he thanking himself for giving, or thanking the "me" for being given.

Practically all the uses of 'lecture' can be rephrased by 'talk' which makes the sentence too repetitive. How can I say " I will give a talk at a lecture"?

Talk in a lecture hall ???
Try it yourself from here. This is a possible phrase for a lecture series...連続講演(会)Considering the case where several lectures are to be given and this person will be the speaker in one of them.
Hi! Thanks for answering my question last time!
I have another question about the following: 正義つらしてる悪党の方がよっぽど怖いよ.
What does "tsurasu" mean? I can't find it in any dictionaries..
よろしくお願いします!
Does it fit lyrically ? I would say anyone would "lose themselves" with the implications of "feel lost" in the overflow of sadness by "gettting overwhelmed" under the weight of a crushing emotion. Thanks Ashikaga!
I have another question:
まっさらな未来にさえ 悲しみが零(こぼ)れ出して
こころを滲ませるから 誰もが立ち止まり見失ってしまうよ
Does "見失ってしまう" refer to the sadness or to oneself? In other words, do people lose sight of sadness or do they lose sight of themselves?
And also:
重ね合った心の奥に
喜びと悲しみ 温もりと憎しみ
