"Heartbeats cannot be heard by everyone" is not what it is saying, though. And it's not かって at all here.

I broke it up for you into those three lines/parts for a reason. The bits in () are less colloquial versions to help you look up things. じゃないか here is not actually negating what comes before, so look that up to start with! (Hint: in English when we say something like "Isn't it great?", we don't mean "it's not great".)

「心臓の音が皆に聞こえるじゃないか」
ってぐらい (or: というぐらい)
高鳴ってて (or: 高鳴っていて, which is just from 高鳴っている, which is from the verb 高鳴る. Do you know your て forms and the uses of ~ている?)

As for ついて or つい, you'd have to give an example because that could be several things.

I see, when you break up it like that is easier to understand the meaning. I've never seen 'janaika' used in the middle of a sentence, but I imagine that it is very possible. I think I got it now. Thanks so much for your help and patience.

例えていえば、 to explain by using .... as an example,
部屋いっぱいのゴミを、 a room-full of trash
お客さんがやってくる間だけ (only) while one has a visitor
とりあえずビニール袋に詰め込んで、 temporarily jamming into a plastic bag and
目立たない押し入れにでもしまっておく putting it in a closet where people don't see
ような行為だ。 such an action/behaviour

It can be likened to jamming a room-full of trash into a plastic bag and hiding it in a closet as a temporary arrangement when you have a visitor.

日本水フォーラム is fine.

Compared with 討論会 which sounds like a more specific expression for a symposium/panel discussion or Sunday talk show like 日曜討論.

What type of 'forum' are you interested in ?

Only time for one at the moment. The method for dealing with people who complain overtly is just to put them in jail (according to some source/correspondence ??)

what is the true meaning of 舞? it does not mean dance at all...

当時、他国ではまだ開発段階だったテレビジョンによる競技などの中継がはじめて行われたのもこの大会だ。

back then, the ceremony was proceeded during the period when that country was in the process of developing such as TV??

Replacing part of a name by alphabet is a common way for anonymity.
e.g.
笹原さん → Ｓ原さん

It often used as a phrase : 二の舞を踏む which means to follow in someone's footsteps, usually in negative meaning.

(I assume the author is talking about Beijin Olympics.)

Hey! How do I say "to test sth./so. for sth." in Japanese? The book I´m studying with (minna no nihongo) most of the times doesn´t feature the particles belonging to a word. Does anyone know a dictionary that cover this topic? Would be really helpful!

By "particles belonging to a word", you're talking about things like
○○で働く・○○に勤める？

Any decent dictionary should give you example sentences showing how the word is normally used. I use Yahoo!辞書 - 国語・英和・和英および専門辞書の検索サービス a lot and goo辞書 - 国語・英語・四字熟語・中国語のオンライン辞書 is similar. Or use 英語学習・TOEIC対策・英辞郎 on the WEB | アルク for example sentences.

"to test for something", 検査・試験(を行う・する) Or 試す. Or maybe 調べる. Or テストする. Could you be more specific?

Thank you very much for your quick response! You´re right, you pointed out exactly what I wanted to know. And I wanted to know in particular how it would sound if would translate it with 調べる. Would it be something like "dare ka ni nani wo shiraberu"?

That doesn't make sense. 調べる is not "test for" as in isolating a particular attribute of the phenomenon but more like general inquiry, measurement or reseach -- investigate, testing, probing a question etc. Can you give the sentence in English ??

えいこくし: a British newspaper

When it's pronounced as えいこくがみ, it could sound as "a paper made in UK." 英国製/産の紙 would be far more common, though.
