In addition to ポールsan's comment, you could take a look at ALC for its usage. It's commonly used in a polite conversation.I would like to know what 何よりです means? I know 何 means what, and です is, but what does より means?
WWWJDIC has example sentences too.In addition to ポールsan's comment, you could take a look at ALC for its usage. It's commonly used in a polite conversation.
Your interpretation is correct, including と which indeed means quotation.夜ピアノをひくな、静かにしろとうるさく言う管理人。
"A manager who speaks noisily, telling me not to play piano at night and to be quiet." (I'm guessing the "と" from "静かにしろと" Is quoting the phrase before it and not meaning "and" as in "tells me to be quiet AND speaks noisily."
出す here means the same as 取り出す, to take something (maybe toys in this context) out of box, shelf, etc.出したらしまえと言っているのに、言われたとおりにしない子共。
"A child who, even though I say (if you are going to turn in your homework, finish it --not sure at all on this dasuShimae part--), won't do exactly as I say."
出す here means the same as 取り出す, to take something (maybe toys in this context) out of box, shelf, etc.
しまえ is imperative form of しまう, meaning to put away.
Literal translation is:
"A child to whom I'm telling to put away the toys he take out (from the closet, box, etc but would not do what he was told."
(Put away implies of course that "once the child finish playing with the toys".)
Hope this helps.

かたち means shape.Hi guys. Can someone kindly explain to me かたちをする?
For example here is some context:
とても下品なかたちをした下品な島です。
教えてくれてありがとうございます。それはそうだと思ったけど、「下品の形」ということはちょっとアブストラクトみたいなので、すぐに分かりませんでした。下品な形の島というのは何か醜い島でしょうね。かたち means shape.
かたちをした is equivalent to かたちの. ___ shaped.
e.g.
りんごのかたちをしたクッキー
りんごのかたちのクッキー
Apple-shaped cookies.
"Vulgar shaped island"...教えてくれてありがとうございます。それはそうだと思ったけど、「下品の形」ということはちょっとアブストラクトみたいなので、すぐに分かりませんでした。下品な形の島というのは何か醜い島でしょうね。
what does this say?
ダイナー大好き
thanks.
Well basically nobody is introduced who is female so (unless you have missed something before the above quoted) then it's "girlfriend" not "she".Hi guys ... I'm confused about the meaning of "彼女" here. Given the below context, does it mean "she" or "girlfriend." It's hard for me to figure out!
Thank you for your help!
今回は、いろいろトラブル発生。。
①彼女の友達がドタキャン

I would write "se+ku+to+me+to ra" as "セクトメトラ" in katakana (not katana, that's something else: ).
As far as I know, in Japanese one can't write foreign names in Kanji.
Can I get some help translating this paragraph?
今年Minoruは年女。そう、いのしし年でございます。
猪突猛進のごとく今年もつっぱしる予定でございます。
って、なんかこんなあいさつ文いろんなところでゆってるな~。
So far what I understand is it's going on about being a one-year veteran of something.
It's a bit odd. Are you sure you don't have わな and つる in the wrong places?つるにかかっているわなをといてやりました.
Can you translate this sentence?
かかっている
といて
And what are the normal form of this verbs? With and without kanji please.
Thank you ポール. I checked it again, it is in the exact order.
