Naming few actions in a list of many

Let's imagine I've just watched a video about gaijin life in Japan. In this video, the narrator goes to the Japanese post-office, supermarket, bank, and other places you'd visit regularly.
If I wanted to say "Along with other places, he went to the Japanese supermarket" how would I put that sentence together?
I'm thinking I can do it with り but I'm not sure if that's accompanied by -ta form.
ビデオで、日本のスーパーへ行ったりしました。 Is this correct?
or should I say
ビデオで、日本のスーパーへ行ったりをしました。
Or am I COMPLETELY off the mark? Thanks in advance for the help!!!

The former 行ったりしました is correct. You can also say 行ったりもしました, connoting "he also went to the Japanese supermarket".
