I hope this image is clear enough to translate these men's names.

There are ten men, but I have names of only these nine and not quite sure which is which, plus the one I cannot identify>

加藤建夫 (This is the one you don't have. Katō Tateo. He did not die at Pearl Harbor, but later in Burma in 1942).

And thank you for the info on Katō Tateo; how did you discover that he died in Burma and not at Pearl Harbor?

FYI, Kazuo Sakamaki, one of the two crewmen (the other, 稲垣清 Inagaki Kiyoshi, drowned) on miniature submarine HA. 19, one of the attacking submarines,
became the first Japanese P.O.W. of WWII captured by US forces.

Wow, he died in 1999 after leading a pretty full life. I'm amazed that often this history is not as far off as we might imagine. I first came to Japan in the 80s, about the time he was returning to Japan from his stint in Brazil. He could have been one of the old guys on the train, sitting next to me.
