Hey all, this is my first post, please be gentle! 
My wife and I are going to Tokyo in October. This will be my 3rd visit, she is Japanese and is from Tokyo - so travel and communication isn't much of a problem (aside from me getting massive culture shock!)
I am a musician, play guitar in a band and all that that entails. Consequently, my main area of interest has been Ochanomizu - love that place!
This time round I'd kinda like to go to a gig or two. I'm really not into J-pop at all. I'm into metal, hard-rock, experimental electronic music, hip-hop, turntablism, and perhaps a little bit of jazz. So I'd be interested in going to some smaller gigs in bars or small clubs in Tokyo, but don't really know where the places are - if any!
Any suggestions based on what I've said?
