Hi!
I'm a big fan of Musashi - K1 best japanese fighter and I'd like to get more info about his popularity in Japan?
As far as I know now he is training in Tokyo, can anyone tell me where and if planning visit Japan - how possible would it be to meet him and take an autograph?
Any info will be appreciated!
Thank you in advance!
Hope I'll find here K-1 GP fans!
Cheers!
Good to see another fight fan on the boards. In my own experience, I've met plenty of fighters & they have been very approachable. That being said, I've never been to Japan, but from what I understand Musashi is a very popular guy. I don't know how easily accessible he would be. Sorry, I can't help you with the gym location question, but I will definitely keep my eyes peeled. Btw, if you ever plan on attending a K-1 event in Japan, check out www.kakuto.com. They can set up a tour package with a meet & greet with the fighters, & if you're a fighter or training yourself, possibly a training session. I'll be using them for a trip this summer (hopefully ), I'll let you know how it goes.
he better be good naming hisself musashi and all
he was in sabra last month again i think https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musashi_(kickboxer)
hm
email the owner of that site above and ask for more info? couldn't hurt
First of all I would like to thank you for the message. I really got very happy seeing someone answered me! I have almost lost fate that anybody would!
About planning going to Japan for some K-1 event - I must share with you I'm thinking for 30 of Sept this year when the Final Eliminations will be and Musashi will fight for sure!
You can imagine how poor I feel with my impossibility to read and understand japanese, b'cos in the japanese official K-1 site there are plenty of information, news, ticket ordering online, fanclub etc - but as you may guess only photos and dates are understandable for me I have noticed that the K-1 official english version of the site is poorer than the japanese one. Also I have seen good links in it, where from I understood a number of K-1 fighters have their own sites. But to my regret Musashi still doesn't have one!
Anyway, I will take a look at the sites you give me for which I thank you a lot!
And it will be really interesting to me what will your impressions, Nhannah, be from the journey you are planning this summer! So I'm expecting news from you
I think Japan is very charming destination by itself, but if I could manage it with presenting at such event will be simply great!
I have registered in the US K-1 site and I have to share with you I'm very satisfied with them. May be you know that Sat, 29 April, Musashi will meet Sammy Shiltz in hotel Mirage, Las Vegas. I had a few questions to them and I had regular and so very nice answers indeed.
As you may guess I couldn't manage a journey to US for so short time, b'cos I have understooden for that match 3 weeks ago, but my wish to send my encouragements to Musashi was so very big , so that I have asked the man who I was e-mailing my questions to send him a message from me - and you know what? HE AGREED!
This makes me so very, very HAPPY!
About naming Musashi, Budd, I think it suits him so very well. I will share with you he is my favourite fighter.
In every single match he has - no matter who he meets and how hard matches are - Musashi always succeeds saving his magnificent composure!
And the look in his eyes really looks like a look of a samurai ! Thank you once again for your link, i'll definitly look at it!
So, guys, I hope you to keep in touch and we to continue this subject!
Kind regards, Viki
i like that attitude!!!
we get a lot of boneheads in here who want only english webpages on their japanese obsession.
props for being realistic. never stop learning! peace
Sammy is not doing that well recently, he lost from peter aerts and from another new Dutch bloke. But maybe he can win again against Musashi!! I like musashi, he's a nice fighter, and also I hope to go to a K1 fight this year or next year.
Wonder how much the tickets cost in Japan for the Final elimination!!
Ashanti, a couple of months ago I put up a K1 thread in the Sport section, maybe you can find something nice in there, and I am sure you can contribute to this forum about K1!!!
Dutch Baka,
nice seeing another K-1 fan here, you are right, I have to try in "Sport" section, I must confess I couldn't find one at the beginning but now I'll try harder
So, as you may already know, Shilt won on 29. 04 against Musashi, but this does not change anything to me
I would like to know is this event has been shown on some TV?
B'cos here, in Bulgaria, although I have a lot of tv channels, my cable tv agent seems to not offering a plenty of sport channels - it is poor indeed, I have only EuroSport.
Can you give me any suggestions of a tv channel which shows all K-1 events alive?
Thanks in advance!
p.s. Budd, you are right , I have smth in my mind to start learning japanese, I'll see what I can do about it, but I would like to share with you that me, as a bulgarian - Bulgaria is not one of the big or rich contries indeed, but has a lot of interesting history and traditions, so I wouldn't mind if we make our country popular in english, after all this language remains the worldwide language
Regards, Ashanti
Dutch Baka, thanks for the link, I am going to check it out.
You are right about EuroSport - this is what I have noticed too.
BTW I would like to inform you that I have succeeded in getting in touch with Musashi And I hope he will answer to me!
I promise to tell you as soon as this happens and also I would like to say I'm very grateful to the man who made this connection posiible - "SC" - thanks!!! You are great!
C ya , folks!
