Hello guys! I just wanna ask what you think about this. . .
In the guideline, it said that you can submit a certificate of passage of university entrance qualification examination but it is up to you if you have one or not. Does submitting this along with your documents increase your chances at getting picked at the documents screening?
Also, if you haven't seen the actual application form yet, it said that if you have conducted a research study, you can attach the abstract of your study but it is again not required. Does submitting this affect your chances too?
I asked/emailed my embassy about this and they only said that its best to follow what is asked. Does these documents matter or not? So what do you guys think??
Hi guys
I am from Iran. Last year my country was eligible to apply. But recently I have found a PDF in which is written just 15 countries (except Iran) are eligible for MONBUKAGAKUSHO 2016. I called to Japan embassy in Iran. They said I should stay for new update in their website.
Do you have any information about this issue?

Thanks Allen. Now I'm really confused. In our Embassy's website (Embassy of Japan in the Philippines says that the qualification needed is that you have to graduate in High School by March of the year of departure. So it apparently means that you only need to graduate on High School standard level of the Philippines as long as your age is 17-21. Which is in the Application Guide says that "Applicants must either have completed a 12-year regular course of school education or have graduated from a school equivalent to an upper secondary school in Japan." That's why I thought in Philippines you only need to pass high school.
Did you ask that information from the embassy?
we sincerly need god blessHi! I'm from the Philippines, too! hahahaha...
I would like to give emphasis on this sentence, "Applicants must either have completed a 12-year regular course of school education or have graduated from a school equivalent to an upper secondary school in Japan."
As far as I know we still need to pursue two more years of education here... Because we know that Japan has 12 years of formal education, we're lacking two years. Meaning, we only have 10 years. To meet the requirement, we still need to study 1st year and 2nd year college here ( so there would be 10 years+ 2 years of college). From what I know, that is the equivalent of an upper secondary school in Japan.
It's good thing that our government is now implementing the K-12 Curriculum. With that, we can easily cope up to the changes happening in this modern and global world we have na.
Hoping we can pass the exam... Hoping we can all be Monbukagakusho scholar someday! ^^ May God bless us all =)
Indeed. I hope we do well in the exam.we sincerly need god bless

How about you?
Hello everyone!
I'm just another dude applying for Monbukagakusho: to begin studying in 2016. Here's my question:
Is it possible to get accepted to such universities as Uni of Kyoto, Tokyo, Hokkaido?
If I write them all in my application attachment will it just lower my chance of getting to study anywhere at all?
Thank you.

i will stay for more 7years because i want to do my internat there and maybe live there thanks for your advice . do you want to apply for 2016Medicine? Wow. So if ever you pass the exam then you'll be staying in Japan for seven years? That would be great! ^_^...
Anyways, don't be bothered about the selection criteria. Bothering more may cause distraction. Just focus on reviewing. Hahahaha...... The power of focus will make you on the top
