Why is Germany so fixated with Japan?

Never understood their mutual interest for each other.

well I'm not too sure if the interest is mutual since alot of J-Rockers dont want to come here... well at least from what I know Gackt (I heard that he mentioned once that he doesnt like germany but I'm not sure if this is true) and Hyde have never been here and dont plan to come here. The GazettE didnt really like it in Germany either (no surprise, they didnt get any food -.-)... so I'm not sure if the interest is mutual, at least not at the music-side.

I think the mutual interest is more cultural-related.

Oh my, I have to call and tell them "I love you!" or something of that sort. :D

I don't like Germany either, although it's the country I was born and grew up in.

well I dont blame them either because I'm also born in germany, grew up here and I'm still stuck in that damn country and I hate it *sigh*
 
of course there is an cultural interest on both side, because we seem so diffrent. They just don´t know the REAl life here and we don´t know their REAL life. It´s just too diffrent and this awakenes our curiousity.

I don´t like living here either....it´s just a very unfair and egoitic country pheww.
 
the thing that amazes me is... when I look what kind of musicians japan brought up... gackt, miyavi, gazette... so many great bands... and what about germany?

tokyo hotel... silbermond, juli, daniel küblböck (or whatever his name is)...

... great isnt it? -.-

I don´t like the so called "great artist of germany" either!
Like Grönemeyer or Lindenberg...what -.-
I´ll stay by those great musicians from japan.
A pity not all recognize their brilliance :p
 
I'll stay by the japanese artists too, so much better. So much more talented... Udo Lindenberg LOL he cant sing at all.... neither can Herbert Grönemeyer. Even talking about them make me sick... urgh

hmmm...I don´t like living here in germany, too.
But thats not the point why I´m interested in japan !
My interest in japan woke up when I was a child/teen...one of my best friends in these days is a japanese/german boy...he came here when he was 2 years old ...
I "loved" him so much that I wanted to know EVERYTHING about him and the land he comes from..his mum told me much about japanese way of living, culture, etc.
...and there I heared the first words of japanese speach...in my ears it´s one of the most beautiful sounding in the world...and till now it´s a addict...
I´ve always focused on asian looking boys ! They are in my eyes much more attractiv than european ones ! Dunno why...
The interest in anime, manga and japanese music came very much later !
So..I´m not one of these who just are interested in japan cause it´s "trendy" or "in"...I´m not just another "otaku"...
Btw...I don´t think that it would be easy for a foreign woman to live in japan ! Even if she has a japanese husband ! In japan you´re still a gaijin if you don´t look japanese !
Therefore I just wanna visit japan some day...and see all these told with my own eyes...I don´t think I could live there.

lol. People generally think that ASIA is Japan,korea and china only. Heeeey, there are other Asian countries too. XD

ehm...I meant you can wonder why another German is here, not why another boy. Oh my, do I really have to explain it like this? Wouldn´ tit be better, if you properly read what I am writing first?
