Hello miyavi fans !!
It's my first post here... although I used to read the replies a lot.
I just wanted to get some informations about miyavi, because I haven't read what had been going on for months... And I don't have the courage to read the 159 pages I missed sorry ! You post replies with an insane speed, it's very difficult to follow the conversation ...
So....
1) I heard that miyavi would come to Europe ?When ? Or....Did I miss hiiiiim ??
2)I heard something too about getting in a band again... What does it mean ?
3) When will he release a new album ?

3) (no one gives me a break) This sentence should normally be written like so, ﾂ"daremo oyasumi kurenaiﾂ" 窶儂窶堙?窶堋ｨ窶ｹx窶堙昶?堋ｭ窶堙ｪ窶堙遺?堋｢, instead of writting 窶堋ｭ窶堙ｪ窶堙遺?堋｢ (kurenai = not-give), Miyavi wrote ﾂ紅 (kurenai = crimson), which again is another X Japan song.

So that's Weekend, Endless Rain and Kurenai. Three X songs, folks...I'd say this is most definitely his way of letting us know who he's working with. Yoshiki (X Japan leader and the creator of the super band featuring Gackt and Sugizo).

I just don't care about the band thing anymore... I'm over it. I really can't see it working well, but if it's his decision... it's his decision. Can't change that. Unfortunately my respect for the man lately has been faltering... Too many little things that have rubbed me competely the wrong way.

People were asking about the lyrics of the week, first off... it's very simple to look back a page or two, because they were there. The lyrics are Girls, Be ambitious. I still don't have the time (nor the willpower) to sit and analyze them. Who knows, maybe I'll feel up to it later.

Uhm... I mentioned going to the Dir en grey show on Friday (Feb 2nd) and if anyone's interested, I wrote a really long report in my livejournal here.

Jou_sama I agree with you about that abdn thing... I mean Gackt and Miyavi are both vocalists... also Sugizo will be the lead guitar so I mean... Miyavi could only be a 2nd guitar... of course I know he may write lyrics and stuff... but I like hearing his voice and seeing his performances... so he should better be solo but it's only my opinion...

Well... it's hard to explain. I enjoy analyzing things, that includes people. Figuring out how a person works, and what goes on in their brain. Part of that involves the aura/energy/atmosphere a person gives off. Lately I've just been getting quite the negative vibe from Miyavi and it's starting to tick me off. I dunno =X

Just a random thought. If he is joining Yoshiki's band... which is looking highly possible, how much of it was Miyavi's full-fledged agreement and how much of it was the intimidation of a high figure like Yoshiki?

Today at a live concert by some really cool guys (+ a weird one)
as a sort of on the spot thing there was an amazing jam session

I needed to get rid of the frustration that builds up over a day of making music/composing
I had them let me join in

Furthermore
The session made me realize something that I lack,
and the atmosphere and exchange with the audience
reminded me of something I had forgotten


The live made me think ﾂ"This is neatﾂ"

I don't know what to think about this Vegas thing. (Though I do love the little "back hurts, *** hurts, stomach hurts" in that entry. It's nice to know the real Miyavi is still in there somewhere.) It's great for him, don't get me wrong! He's going to do a show here in the States! That's friggin' awesome!
... But I doubt I can go.

I doubt a lot of people I know would be able to go. This is on such sort notice, it's kind of crazy. I've heard that it's not actually on the 17th of February, but the actual date hasn't been confirmed. I guess the place messed up and put the wrong date. I don't know. This whole thing seems like a mess.

Whatever, I support the man 100%. I just hope people actually SHOW UP!

This is the translation from Japanese magazine, ][ROCK and READ][/ (I tried, but it isn't very good).This is not a full interview because the whole interview is very long! So I am just putting the parts about his heritage backgroud, since that's what most people are interested about. My friend asked me to translate, so that is what I am doing.
Here he shares his personal history. Starting with a surprising word: 3rd generation zainichi (Korean-Japanese), death of his senpai, and his suicidal thoughts when the band got dismembered.
Interviewer: You were born in Hyogo (兵庫)?
Miyavi: Today I want to talk about my past before I was born.
I: Then about your parents?
M: Yes, this is the first time I am mentioning, I am 3rd generation zainichi (Korean-Japanese). Looking at the bloodline, I am mixed. My father's side, grandfather and grandmother are from Jejo island, which is famous for tourist site. They were living their until they came to Japan.
I: Did you know this truth when you were little?
M: No, at first the questions brought up, but I forgot. But you know when relatives get married. My father had 8 siblings. And he is the first son, so he always had to attend wedding ceremonies. I remember when I went with him to the wedding, at the front door the last names were written in big letters. When I saw it, one side was written "Lee"(李家) and the other side had "Kim"(金家). So even though I was little, (laughs) I knew those last names weren't much seen in Japan. And when I was little, I used to eat jijime(Korean food? I don't know) and see jogori (Korean traditional dress). Although I didn't know much when I was little, I knew I was alittle different.
I: So even though you were born and raised in Japan, you felt your surrounding wasn't quite Japan you are saying?
M: Yes, I felt it. I recently found out that my family's last name is Lee (李). There is Bruce Lee (different chinese/kanji character), so I thought it was okay to have Lee as last name (laughs). My grandfather and grandmother lived in Jurubashi(鶴橋). I was born in Nisikujo (西九条).
I: So after you were born, did you move straight to Hyogo?
M: No, until first grade in elementary school I lived in Nisikujo. I was very popular at stores. My mother's side grandfather and grandmother lived near, so I went to play there and they always gave me 100yens. (laughs). Also, when I went to public bath, they always bought me fruit juice and small toys (laughs).
I: So the neighbors all thought you were cute?

Miyavi also mentioned of his heritage (3rd generation Korean-Japanese) to Korean magazine GMV (2004). He said, "I am mixed, but I don't think that's important. What's the point of thinking about it? When I am writing music, I think about what's important to me. I know history/background is important, but there are more important things. I want to show/express good sides from both Japan and Korea.
