OMG!! 😲

I have to tell you something wierd.
Some time ago a spent the weekend at my friends house and she found her old Jenga and I went crazy with it and I was jenga crazy for like a week.
And only some days after Miyavi did the Jenga photoshoot and everybody thought it was weird.

And now I have a break from my pottery class and I really miss my friends there and I've been thinking about it a lot and Miyavi does this photoshoot.

It's a sign,(sorry for the fangirl-ish-ing) really I have to show this to my parents cause It's a sign I'm going to Japan. 👍 (okey maybe not,but this sign might help me on the way.. or not)

oh and thank you Ivayim-a for the beautiful pictures 🙂 and sorry that I freaked about them :sorry:

Welcome Risa!

Haha, you're first post is in the Miyavi thread huh? Looks like another fan's joining out MYV-fest!

Hey does anyone know what 'oresama' means? i've been trying to find it for a while but no luck. help me out?

:D My mom, she (absolutely hates J-Rock) thinks Miyavi is sexy, and that he is gorgeous. She also says she wants to know who does his makeup  . I get happy when she says stuff like that but then she ruins it by saying he would make a fortune as a male hooker :D  :giggle: . I laugh but then I get angry and has to defend the Meevers :box: :angryfire :box: :angryfire:

It is a really conceited way of saying I. Its considered conceited to add an honorific to your name (chan, tan, kun, san, sama). And sama is an honorific used when being incredibly respectful and polite. So Ore= I Sama=lord So its like saying and this is a rough translation I am a lord Oresama.

But then Miyavi you can be arrogent all you want cause yes you are lord and I will bow down to you 🙂 🙂 (not Lord as in God just to make myself clear)

at least your mother admits hes male. my family dont believe it no matter how many times i tell them or how pictures they see...

quite annoying really.

Yeah. Miyavi's the only person I've heard with the arrogance to call himself by that honourfic. I guess since most of us already call him Miyavi-sama, he's quite justified in calling himself that. :P

In general, people are inclined to automatically say to themselves what emmediately comes to their minds. And since at first look alot of visual-kei stars look girlish, that's what they will think - andstick by it. However maybe they should stop being stupid and look at the stance of the person, posture etc.

Dir en grey, Malice mizer [at the time], and other famous jrockers are respectively rich, and when a girl is rich - it's time for a boob job. That's another way of defining them. I'm afraid i don't recal any jrockers having, uhh, things the size of *picks a random model* Jodie Marsh XD. Not like I look twice, i think she is a back stabber and a ****. if those words are unappropiate for the forum sorry. :sorry:

well, the girlish looks is what made me like them in the first place, and mots of my friends don't really like JROCK and they refuse to beleive that some of them are male

Alot of people Around me Refuse to believe they're men,But some people Are astonished by how Good they look as women.

Since,I had already been told By my Friend,That Mana,Was male.
Pretty much after that,I kinda Got the Fact that they were really pretty men.

I swear I read Something about the Oresama Thing In Night in girl....

I love Miyavi's looks, and like it even more when he was in Due le quartz, but I'm not much of a follower of his music.. he's more into guitar than into lead voice.. Anyway, just wanted to know something: Is it me, or he does look a bit like Gackt when he was young??

yea...i can see Miyavi having some similar features as Gackt when he was younger, but they aren't really very noticable....

I actually first fell in love with Miyabi.....and it took me a while to appreciate Miyavi

I first fell in love with Miyavi.... I was randomly searching the net when I came by his picture, and ever since then I have loved him and his music.

People talk about how Miyavi takes a while to get into,
Like you have to hear his music a couple times to really like them...

Well, for me...the first song I ever heard was "Are you Ready to Rock"~hahahahahaha

((Could there've been a better song to start off with??))

And then the second song I heard was Ashita "Genki" ni Naare (it was really poppy) So...as you can imagine I was in love with Miyavi the first time I heard him lol. Not to mention it was the first Japenese rock I had ever heard!!

And the first video I had ever saw of Miyavi was him slappin on his guitar playing Are you Ready to Rock...so yeah ^_^

And I knew he was a guys b/c I first heard about him on deviant art, and had I not of known that...I swear I would've thought he was a girl!!!! @_@

So there's my Miyavi story!!! haha

"Are You Ready To Rock?" has got to be one of the funniest Engrish ever!. The first song I heard was Night In Girl because that was what the MYV fansite I went to was named after. I figured it had to be somewhat good.

Miyavi definately took some time to get into. I like his later songs because his voice is improving.

His guitar skills are wicked too. No doubt about that.

I really don't like Night in Girl @_@

His first songs weren't good at all ((my opinion))

Thank god I only got into him recently or I prolly wouldn't of liked him lol
His new songs are so damn catchy!! XD

And his voice is so unique to me...I don't know, It's just nothing like any other jrocker I've ever heard...does any1 else feel that way?? Like...*Maybe it's just me* his voice isn't as "low and deep" or...haha Japenese-ish as say other jrockers are lol

I couldn't catch my parents listening to Dir en grey, or D'espairsray, or L'arc en ciel, or...etc...but they don't mind Miyavi ^_^

His songs are more easier to follow~hehe

"Low and deep"? No way! :joyful: I find it kinda cute and childish compared to some others. I like it when he says "Nee?" It's so 😍 !!

I agree that his early songs weren't good. All I could hear was digital crap and him making noises. Night in Girl was ok... After a while it grows on you. My first impression of that song wasn't good either but put it on repeat and you find youself humming to it.

I can understand that some people like his earlier songs because they were harder, but for example, in Oresama Shikou I can't even hear him 95% of the time.

I've said this before but I really do think his singing is improving so even though his new songs may be considered more 'popish' at least I can appreciate his voice.

i dont actually know very many miyavi songs ... mostly cause i just started to like him! it took me a while to get into his music. my friend is obsessed with him, which is how i originally found out about him. but i couldn't stand him at first! 🙇‍♂️ though, after a while of ALWAYS hearing about him ... and his songs they grow on u! lol ... im not as obsessed as my friend, i dont think ANYONE can be, but i still like him! 👍

Uhh don't be so sure you that no one can be obsessed with Miyavi! :D Our Isayhello... She is! 😌 In a good way afcourse! Well she is Miyavi expert on this forum i think. Anyway i haven't seen her online for quite a while  Hope she is ok. ☝

Wait wait, what?? "Miyavi" with a low and deep voice?? hahaahahaha 😊
I said he "doesn't" have a low and deep voice~~~hahahahahaha👍
That's okay...

***imagines a cute Meevers singing with kyo's voice***

Miyavi's voice is so cute and...yeah so childish **screams**😊 :-) 👍
I don't like jrockers whose vioce is soo deep
(((but that's just me)))

Miyavi vocie=childesh + cute 👍

I don't think Miyavi has a childish voice, to me it is a very rough voice, and is very sexy. I also think that the roughness is his Kansai accent, because he doesn't speak using standard Japanese. The Standard Japanese dialect when compared to a Kansai dialect is actually very different. Also as far as Miyavi goes, his newer stuff is easier for a person new to Miyavi, because if they pick up his old stuff first they might be like what? Thats how I was the first album I heard was his Galryuu album. And I didn't like it the first listen. Now I LOVE IT.

i listen to miyavism, but i like his older songs too, like Night in Girl. it's the first miyavi song i've heard. at first i was thinking like huh?the music seems like it had no clear direction and i was waiting for the chorus to blow me away but suddenly, it ends so abruptly in such a short time! i was quite confused. but after a few listens, it seems to really grow on me..and now it's one of my fav. miyavi songs along with his newer songs

Yeah, I agree with you there Nana, going backwards on Miyavi songs is the easier way. Before I couldn't stand his first two albums but now I enjoy them quite a bit depending on my mood.

In some of his songs like... "we love you" how can you say his voice isn't cute? It's adorable!

Has anyone seen his new music vid...? I've seen a pre-view to it and it looks really good!!! :D Although.... they could've done a better job on the dancers that dance around him...

I don't think the full video is out yet, if it was it would be on youtube.
And while I love his new stuff, I kind of like his older stuff, considering that is what I first heard. And yea, it did take some time to get used to it. I am not sure if I said it on this thread or another thread but with Miyavi:

First listen: what???
Second listen: Its tolerable
3rd listen: I can dig it.
4th listen absolute love.

Question: Did Miyavi change record companies or something?

In this PV for aishita genki ni naare, it says PS Company but for Kekkon shiki no uta ~Kisetsu Hazure no Wedding March~ it says Universal at the bottom.

I heard about him making a speech involving Universal at new years, but didn't know what it was on about.

So is Miyavi now recording under Universal or what :?
