The Prajnaparamita Heart Sutra
When the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara
was coursing in the deep Prajnaparamita,
he perceived that all five skandhas are empty,
thereby transcending all sufferings.
Sariputra, form is not other than emptiness
and emptiness not other than form.
Form is precisely emptiness and emptiness precisely form.
So also are sensation, perception, volition, and consciousness.
Sariputra, this voidness of all dharmas
is not born, not destroyed,
not impure, not pure, does not increase or decrease.
In voidness there is no form,
and no sensation, perception, volition or consciousness;
no eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mind;
no sight, sound, smell, taste, touch, thought;
there is no realm of the eye
all the way up to no realm of mental cognition.
There is no ignorance and there is no ending of ignorance
through to no aging and death and no ending of aging and death.
There is no suffering, no cause of suffering,
no cessation of suffering, and no path.
There is no wisdom or any attainment.
With nothing to attain, Bodhisattvas relying on Prajnaparamita
have no obstructions in their minds.
Having no obstructions, there is no fear
and departing far from confusion and imaginings,
they reach Ultimate Nirvana.
All past, present and future Buddhas,
relying on Prajnaparamita, attain Anuttara-Samyak-Sambodhi.
Therefore, know that Prajnaparamita
is the great mantra of power,
the great mantra of wisdom, the supreme mantra,
the unequalled mantra,
which is able to remove all sufferings.
It is real and not false.
Therefore recite the mantra of Prajnaparamita:
Gate, Gate, Paragate, Parasamgate, Bodhi Svaha

That's exactly what I thought.. and exactly why I think he doesn't understand what his own tattoo means! Probably just went to the tattoo-place and said; Gimmie something big and cool in chinese writing!
And they did...

No, seriously. Miyavi-sama has a more... err... hum... ano... mature side? Or at least a darker side. I think. But his childish, energetic, concited sides take up more space. And I love it.

I dunno. I think it was intentional... do you honestly think a tattoo artist would have that memorized or in his book of 'frequently' asked for tattoos? I think Miyavi knows to an extent what it means... I don't think he lives by it though.

Off course! All tattoo artists memorize that tattoo... it's like the basic tattoo nr.1!! (^____________^) Err..... I wasn't completely serious about that... I'm sure Miyavi-sama knows what it meant and had thought long and hard about it before getting it...

Yeah.. there's something special about lives... it's this feeling you get; by just watching the musicians doing their stuff.. and the music gets you going, and the people around you. It's really great. I've always liked live gigs better than anything else... people like going to disco or whatever stupid thing they do, but WHY!? I ask.. when you could much rather go to a live? Lives are the best thing ever. It's both emotional AND fun.

Bands that aren't good live are no bands. It's when you see a band/person live you really know wether that person/band loves what he/she/they're doing. If they DO love it... then it's amazing.
