*cries* tall men usually scares me. But... muscles scare me more. And Miyavi is thin and unhairy and hot. So I don't care. And he has no bulky muscles. YAAAY!

I saw the Rock pv, he has a guitar around his neck through the entire video, but he never touches the strings. That's just stupid.
And then there's this other clip where he makes out with the guitarist. I really don't mind the kissing(more please), but you hear his voice in the background because he has playback...
I like his voice though, a bit rougher than usual for j-rock singers.

sorry, guys, i know this thread is SUPER old, but i just have to set the record straight. you're right in that miyavi rarely touches a guitar in music videos, unless he's leaning on it or something. that's just the way his music videos are. for reference! i own the galyuu cd, and if you look in the lyric book, you know how it lists who wrote the words and music? if you read it, both say miyavi. that's it. no one else. he also plays the guitar parts on his cds.

as to the playback, that scene you mentioned is from the movie "o-re-sama" (translating to a very arrogant and stuck-up way of referreing to yourself...heehee, i love miyavi :D) which is a very low-budget film about...miyavi. (there is little to no storyline...it's mainly fan service. heehee) they aren't actually performing, they just recorded the song from the galyuu cd onto the audio track. (rediculous, i know) also, earlier in the movie, miyavi DOES play guitar (the guy he's kissing? he shows him how good he is at guitar.) and it's no double, it's him, playing VERY well.

music videos are never recordings of live performances. they are ALWAYS dubbed over with a part from a recording studio. why? because if they weren't, you'd have some pretty wack acoustics, and the video would suck. for reference! whatch Dir en grey's music video "-I'll-". you'll notice at one point that Kyo's (the lead singer) mouth closes (and twitches...it's so cute!) long before he's finished holding his note. also, daisuke-kun (die, the red-headed guitarist) is singing as well (you can see him mouth words) but you never actually hear him sing in the song...BECAUSE IT'S DUBBED! (GASP!)

so sorry this took so long, i just had to say that. i know what you mean, dollporn, i hate solo artists who have no talent and let other people work for them. so now you can like miyavi guilt free, he does everything himself!
(and yes, he was the guitarist for the band deu'le quartz. you'll see the band name tatood on his right wrist.)

*upset* No, no, no. Miyavis music isn't trash!!! Miyavi is really talented, he has a good voice, which he uses in soo many ways. He experiments a lot with his music and changes the style a lot - something I find really fun and interesting - he really tries all the different musicstyles. I even saw a concert with him where he sings it with a big classical band.(!?) He is also really really fun to watch whenever he preforms, cause he always dances and acts really crazy! Miyavis music is fun cause of its variation. + Miyavi is... pretty.

Try www.jpophelp.com, they have his new cd that was just realesed in...october, i think? it's MIYAVI - ROCK NO GYAKUSHUU-SUPERSTAR NO JYOUKEN/21SEIKI-GATA KOUSHINKYOKU. that's the single, at least. you can buy it for $16.17 (obscure price, i know). their website is my favorite, they have amazing costomer service and a HUGE selection (you can even buy the oresama dvd...but it's a japanese import, so you have to have a japanese dvd player...i hate it...)

no no no: state your oppinion! This is, after all, a forum for discussions, and everyones oppinion is welcomed. If you don't like Miyavi, please tell what's not to like about him. Just cussing Miyavi out isn't fair - instead, tell what you consider bad about him. That way, we can start discussion!

Miyavi is my love. I love him. *cries* He's got such a cool voice!!!
 
Drain_away. Yeah, after listening to Dueles music I realize Miya must make the songs, because they're so much alike, and I don't think he's talentless. And offcourse I know music vidoes arn't recordings!
It's just that the one-man-band-thing doesn't sit well with me, sorry.
But I think I'll shut up now before offending anyone, hehe.

i find that some of Miyavi's songs are very random i sounding...Jibun Kakumei sounded really random... but i like his other works ^^
 
I love Jibun Kakumei esepcially when he says Aibou and Amigo....it sounds so funny. XD

I love Miyavi's music he is not better that Diru but no one is. But he is still good.
I have both the making of Oresama and Oresama. It's really cute! ^_^

I listened to "Cage" , which is a good song. My friend however said she got songs that were called "Waza" and "Aoi Tsuki"...or something like. She said they sucked though. ><

None of Diru's songs suck, in my opinion. But I like Miyave a lot. I haven't heard any Miyashi or Miyabi songs....I like Pop is Dead and Jibun Kakumei 2003 and Coo Quack Klux (what a weird title). Yessiree, Miyavi is definately one of my favorites ^^

never heard Waza yet...*tries to find it* ya everyone i know loves Cage :-) hmm maybe you should heard some of their more famous songs like Yokan, Myaku, Child Prey, Jessica and most of all ... Red[em](SUCH a good song)

i agree that Diru does beat Miyavi, but Miyavi is good ^^

Yeah...I guess they are.. XD... I got that Red[em] song the other day. It's a live version, but it's still good.
