Mitsubishi Regional Jet

Speaking of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries's airplane, I remember "ZERO", which was famous for high flight performance during WWII. Mitsubishi is now pursuing the same concept, but jointly with US turbofan engine mfg as well as Vietnamese parts. http://english.vietnamnet.vn/biz/2007/12/758785/

Time has changed.

Mitsubishi Zero!

A magnificent plane in its day.

I'd say the only plane which could equal or out-do it was the British Spitfire. - Too bad they were too thinly dispersed where they were needed.

The Japanese pilots in these Zeros must have thought it was a 'turkey-shoot' when dispatching their aerial competitors during the hostilities during the opening of the Pacific War.
