Here are my comments.
For problems like 問1, I prefer that the wrong answers are grammatically incorrect - i.e., that there is absolutely no context in which they can be used correctly.
For question 8, though, "is living" could be correct if you are using it in the future tense, to mean "he will be living". Obviously, "has lived" is the best answer to this question, but I think it would be clearer if you were to change "is living" to something else. This is optional; you can leave this as it is if you prefer.

Oh, really? I didn't know that you can say "He is living in France for three years". Can't you say "He lives in France for three years? Such things are really difficult for me because I am not familiar with everyday English.

So I believe that my students understand what the sentence means.

Finally, I assume you are aware of this, but 問1, 4, and 5 are each in need of one more question to reach the designated point total.

I'm sorry, but I don't get it. Does "the designated point total" mean 100 points? If so, Yes. I have to add some more questions.

Oh, really? I didn't know that you can say "He is living in France for three years".
Yes, I understand that it is difficult for you to fully know which expressions are possible, and which are clearly wrong. In the case of "he is living in France for three years", this expression could be used, for example, to describe a person who has just moved to France and plans to live there for three years, or a person who is about to move there. While it might not be preferred textbook English grammar, it is something that COULD be spoken by a native speaker, and therefore is difficult to claim as incorrect. And, as I wrote, I think it is best for all of the wrong answers to be clearly, undisputedly wrong and ungrammatical.

Of course, with such multiple choice questions, students are always asked to choose the BEST answer, so this resolves the issue to some extent.


How about this, then?

This is also from the textbook. The intended answer is "He began working part-time". Does it sound off?
To me, this question is difficult, and I would probably not get the correct answer. Usually, an expression like part-time is only hyphenated when it is followed by a noun. Otherwise it is usually expressed as two words ("part time"). This is not a strict rule, though, so your model answer is not wrong. It is difficult for me to figure out this question especially because the parts of speech (品詞) are different between the Japanese and English versions (アルバイト is a noun, but "part-time" is not). Since your question comes from the textbook, and your students have presumably studied it, it is OK to leave it as is if you want to. If this was for a standardized test being given to many students at many different schools, though, I would recommend removing it, or revising it to something clearer.


問4-5 I forgot to point this out in my original reply, but the expression "old people" has fallen out of favor, and today is considered impolite. If you have taught this to your students already, then you can leave the question as it is, but going forward, I recommend that you use and teach a different expression, such as "the elderly" or "elderly people".

Yes, that is what I meant. More specifically, by "designated point total", I was referring to the point totals that you have written. For example, for 問1 you wrote "1×20=20点", but there are currently only 19 questions, =19点. That's all I meant.

The survey asked people how much they admired, trusted, respected, and took pride in their own country. Australia came top, China was 7th, while America was 11th. At the bottom of the list was Japan. The Japanese respondents seem to have had a low opinion of their own country.

OK, I see now. This is my fault for not properly understanding the Japanese version. You can leave it the way it was, if you want. The revised version is OK, too, although "From the survey" sounds a little better.

"I'll take it" sounds a little strange. "I'll take your advice" or "I'll take your suggestion" are better. Or "I'll follow your advice / suggestion."

Ah, it's the mistake I made when I copied the question here. In the original version it has three blanks. This site often deletes blanks and underlines for some reason.
