Hello Everyone!
This is DJ, an interior design based in Muscat. Having cleared the primary screening for the MEXT Scholarship 2014 from the Japanese Embassy in Oman, I now wish to pursue a Masters in Industrial/Product Design from Japan and am very excited at the opportunity!
However, every university that I look into has the course in Japanese. While I would love to learn the language and will make every effort to do so, there are no courses available here at the moment and I am unsure if I will be able to do an entire masters (well) after 6 months of Japanese study.
The universities that I am requesting acceptance from are Chiba Univeristy and Tama Art University at the moment.
Does anybody know of a Masters in Product/Industrial Design in Japan taught in English?
Alternatively, has anyone with preliminary knowledge of Japanese does a masters in design in Japan? How hard is it?
