I know this thread is like way dead, but merry is too good to have a dead thread, besides I come bearing a gift!

I really love Merry, but I don't have anything new to write about them, except looking forward to the new single.

I was listening to Haraiso the other day. Love that song. It tends to put me in a violent mood, though, for some reason. 😊

Haha I found Merry a few days ago. MUCC is my fav band and people kept saying that you must like Merry if you like MUCC. Well, I tried it, and now I'm listening to Merry all the time. Today I ordered 2 of their cd's, can't wait!
Their music is brilliant! Imo not like MUCC at all, but they definitely have their own and unique style like MUCC has. I did know that Gara doesn't really speak (and thought he's arrogant), but his singing voice just amazed me...Usually I try some new bands and be like "Again this same voice" but as soon as Gara started to sing Blind Romance (the 1st one I saw on youtube :D) I got goosebumps...It's freaking awesome! My fav member would still be Nero. He seems like a nice guy and his style is gorgeous. He has some own part called nerorizm in some of their their shows, am I right? Is it some crazy drumming-solo?
I heard there's some pretty nasty competition between some MUCC and Merry -fans. Things like "Merry is **** and MUCC is the best" and so on. I've never heard about that, has someone else?
Is there any good interviews? I'd like to know basic things, like who composes and stuff.
Blahh this post seems stupid..I'm just really excited :p
 
welcome to the merry fandom =] I dont know why but a lot of people compare Mucc and Merry, they do both have their own style. I really like them both. I think maybe Gara and Tatsurou have similar voices, at times Gara really makes me think of Tatsurou. That kind of shuddering scream/sing that he does is so Tatsurou if you ask me =]
 
I like both bands, and think their style is quite different really. :p
I was actually just about to resurrect this thread, because it is announced on JaME that Merry are releasing a new album (title unknown as yet) on 7 November! 😄 I can't wait; I loved Peep Show. :)
 
yeah I heard that too, someone on batsu said it's going to be titled M.E.R.R.Y, but it's unknown whether that's true or not, they said a friend who live in japan told him so who knows really lol
 
it was updated on jame that the title is M.E.R.R.Y. i can't wait for the album to come out cos im so in love with the fisrt 2 ! :3

okay so I finally got around to listening to the album and I must say it's feckin smex, it's officially re-established my love for merry, which, to be honest was waning for a little while there. Damn what a good album!
 
I've been hearing really good things about the album, but I haven't been able to buy it yet. ;_; oh well, I should (FINALLY) have a job soon so maybe soon I could buy it... X3

Yes. I love Merry. I have their PEEP SHOW album and the new album M.E.R.R.Y. both of which are teh shiz.

I really don't get the whole "IF YOU LIKE MERRY THEN YOU MUST LIKE MUCC" and vise versa thing :? It makes no sense to me.

I am becoming rather fed up with how difficult it is to find good (translated) Merry interviews. So, if someone could point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated. 🙂

P.S. Let's try to keep this thread alive this time! :box:
 
Eek, it is rather empty in here...

Well, I guess everyone's heard of the new single Tozasareta Rakuen coming out in April...? 3 versions of it. : D
