Meaning of Verb + こともできます

また、読んできかせてあげることもできます。

I could translate the sentence as

Still, you also can read it (= the book) aloud.

I have read before that verb + ことができます express ability to do the verb, but
I am not sure if the same meaning holds also for verb + こともできます expression.

Yeah, your interpretation "can also do" is correct.
The conjunction また means more likely "plus/morever".
